Final EPL S21 Stage 2 matchups set

Three playoff spots are up for grabs on Tuesday.

Falcons and EF will clash for a playoff spot

The ESL Pro League S21 Stage 2 group stage has almost reached the end, as just three more matches are set to be played on Tuesday.

Spirit, Vitality, Natus Vincere, MOUZ, and The MongolZ have already locked in their spots after progressing through the Swiss system, with three more squads set to join the stacked playoff bracket.

The first match will be contested between Liquid and 3DMAX. The former come into the game as favorites, but their recent performance against MOUZ will give the French side some optimism ahead of the clash.

Falcons vs. Eternal Fire will be next on the agenda in what will be a rematch of the PGL Cluj-Napoca quarter-final, where Falcons came out 2-1 winners.

The final playoff spot will be decided between G2 and GamerLegion. Ashley "⁠ash⁠" Battye's troops came back from the 0-2 pool to get themselves within one victory of the playoffs, while G2 got sent to the do-or-die clash after getting demolished by Natus Vincere on Monday.

Since they would be a 3-2 team by winning . Doesn't that mean they would have to face a 3-0 team in quarters? like vita or spirit? how does the seeding work with this one?

Well not exactly since there are only 2 3-0 teams in swiss system. So yes those 3-0 teams play 3-2 teams but there's 3 3-2 teams so one of them will play against a 3-1 team. So it's possible g2 could dodge vita and spirit but I won't bother to look at the seedings to find out what the match ups can be. Let's see after today

Hope that GL will be able to upset G2 tomorrow, since G2 haven't been super consistent lately and I think that GL has a lot of potential.

Top 5 if definitely this by live rating and nothing can be changed : Vitality started first and won all their matches and stay 1st Spirit started second and won all their matches and stay 2nd Mouz started 4th and lost to top seeded and moved to 3rd Mongolz started 5th and lost to second seeded moved to 4th NaVi started 3th but lost to 14th seed and without victories at top 5 they lost enough elo to be dropped on 5th on live rating Rest of the rating would depends by tomorrow results but if the structure of the event is 1st vs 8th , 2nd vs 7th , 3rd vs 6th and 4th vs 5th like its normal in any play offs then we already know 100% 1 quarter final which is Mongolz vs NaVi

Like mouz faced furia, falcons, then vitality (lost), and then liquid to qualify, how is that fair, saw faced fkn navi, spirit, g2, and gamerlegion, tyloo same except no g2. Looking at these 2-2 match ups these teams like liquid just got easier opposition to play in the early match ups so thats why they are 2-2, if they got fucking spirit and navi in the early ones, and then fucking g2 and gamerlegion which arent even such bad teams for the elimination match would they have succeded?
