eXelon pick up natu

eXelon Gaming have announced the addition of Joona "natu" Leppänen for the upcoming Solid Mojo LAN.

The Finnish veteran has been without a home since the disbandment of Soltec in February just weeks after their inception.

Leppänen, who guided his last serious project, Power Gaming, to a quarter-final appearance at WCG 2009, will now link up with eXelon at Solid Mojo LAN, which will play host to the Finnish WCG qualifier.

The former 4Kings star will fill the shoes of Ari "spin" Raimi, who is no longer on the team, for this event, but chances are that he will remain if the project prove successful.

Meanwhile, eXelon have confirmed that Slaava "Twista" Räsänen has also been brought in, replacing Joni "Freon" Huumo, who joined Playzone earlier this week.

"After Freon joined playzone we knew that spin would leave too, so we had to find two good and stable players for our next event, solid mojo," eXelon captain Aleksi "eple" Dobrev told HLTV.org.

"Since there are not too many good players in Finland, we came up with this result. Both of them have a lot of experience so I do not see why we cannot succeed at Solid Mojo even if we have no more than two weeks to practice."

eXelon have now the following quintet for Solid Mojo LAN, which will take place from May 14-16:

Anyone got information about Soltec disbandment? I just cant imagine, why so good players just dont play toghether anymore

lol. all finnish gamers are fat :F (joke) But dunno if natu did the right choice , joining eXeloN , maybe he needed to join PZ.fi , but time will tell :P Good line up though , gl :P

natu is such a goood player he should join Playzone ;/ anyway Gl, he will bring something new to this team

"he" didn't defeat them but the team did and natu wasn't nearly as good as plastE or tihOp in that match. one could say he's washed up or at least already peaked few years ago, but can't really judge him before seeing him play

I don't see why natu should join pz.fi because solid mojo begins in 11 days and they have stable lineup now. After solid we will see what happens to the team and lineup.

dont think this will hold on for too long, unless they would manage to qualify for WCG and miraclously manage to get an organisation to pay the trip. natu, Twista and even iON have had their peaks a long time ago. the only thing that may bring them to success the way i see it is if eple and lukee step it up and become madfraggers while the other two (or three) play smart and experienced as they should be able to do.

Haha, it's always fun to read from people how "I've peaked a century ago" yet I somehow still have been a part of the best teams in Finland even the past year or so. Sure, I'm not the type of a fragmachine like I was 5 years ago, but then again I don't even have to be. What you don't seem to understand is that theres a whole alot more to winning and succeeding than fragmovie material. Anyone is free to watch for example WCG 09 playoff games and tell me that I didn't contribute :)

I understand your point but disagree. Back then you were backed up by some top notch players who made it simpler for you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that you are bad, not at all. The thing I meant was just that when you're in a team with players below the highest level, players only considered as 'talents' and not superstars like plastE and naSu, the demands on you and your fragging becomes much higher. I mean, how far will your team be able to go if people - including you - aint able to take out their guy every round. Then it's rather a matter of fragging than your capabilities of leading the team in the right direction.
