FaZe bench EliGE

The North American player remains contracted to FaZe as the organization considers its options moving forward.

FaZe has announced that Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski, who joined the team at the beginning of the year, has been moved to the bench.

The North American player boasted a 1.11 Rating during his tenure with FaZe, but the team failed to find the same balance it had as the free flowing, dynamic side that could turn games on a whim that it cemented its legacy on, with a third-place finish at PGL Bucharest and a quarter-final at the Austin Major being their best results.

Alarm bells about the post-Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool order at FaZe started ringing in March, when EliGE said that the team all "expected to be further along than we are," and that replacing a passive star like the Estonian with more aggression in a naturally aggressive team was proving to be a challenge.

In May, the first signs of real trouble came with the benching of Helvijs "⁠broky⁠" Saukants, which led to a brief stand-in stint with Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev before the Latvian Laser was brought back into the fold.

Three early exits after the summer break at IEM Cologne, BLAST Bounty, and EWC, have now forced FaZe to pull the trigger on another change and move the team's latest addition to the bench.

FaZe's starting lineup is down to these four players:
