Archaic present CS team

ArchaicMSI Esports have announced their Counter-Strike: Source division will switch its focus to Counter-Strike: 1.6.

This decision comes less than a month prior to one of Australia's biggest tournaments of the year, the Elysium Community Nationals (ECN), which will take place from 29-30 May in Brisbane.

Following the departure of two players from the CSS team, Archaic have opted against bringing in new players, with team captain Scott "Boomser" Bednarski putting together a 1.6 line-up instead.

Daniel "MSE" Anderson, who has played for fzer0 and encore in the past, and Sequential Gaming trio Mike "Apoc" Aliferis, Emir "EK" Keser and Soren "Soren" Larssen make up the rest of the team.

"There is nothing left for me to prove in CSS," Bednarski told dicevip.com. "There was no way of us recuiting or remaking a team with OUT killing or poaching players, gonna focus on 1.6 with my oldschool team and hopefully get some top results."

hi, as the tournament director of the ECN, i can tell you steel is still currently banned until he repays back the prizes/money equivalent he 'stole' by cheating in our Razer Online competition. I personally like jez, but he needs to take responsibility for his actions

benor occasionally plays for a team called GUTs otherwise he isn't very present on lan, destiny plays for a team called ashock who are a very strong team online (interested to see them at this ECN event) and ferg has retired for the time being and playing in local mix teams in his state.

Soren "Soren" Larssen - sounds swedish Daniel "MSE" Anderson - sounds swedish again. None of those surnames are swedish, but very close! Larssen could be norwegian or danish, in Sweden it would've been Larsson. Same goes for Anderson, also danish or norwegian and the swedish version is Andersson. But it was a good guess ;-)

With regards to the names and origins, yes they might have non Australian sounding last names, but last names carry on through generations. This entire team have all represented Australia in WCG at some point in their carrier. The only person who is probably both Australian and Turkish is emir :) but once again he is cleared to play for Australia in WCG. I cannot wait to all of the ECN teams are confirmed and you will probably suggest a country about 90% of us.

Although these guys are all top Australian players they are terrible overseas and its been proven time and time over. Decent organizations in Australia are rare, Archaic and Immunity are the only ones who can afford to send squads over sea's they should be trying to get the best possible squad for national and international cs. aShock, v300, GUTS are all better in my eyes and would be a better investment anyway GL 2 these guys, will be interesting to see how they go
