2KEY make ESWC prank

Israeli team 2KEY have been announced as a possible ESWC invited team despite including fake info in their application.

The ESWC announced last night that it had opened up eight more spots for invited teams, which would be handed out to sides from countries without national qualifiers.

This morning, the French-based organisation posted on its website a provisional list containing eight teams that have applied for a spot in the competition, one of them being 2KEY from Israel.

Over at Vgames, one of the most important gaming websites in Israel, "oreldm" from 2KEY spoke of his team's ESWC application, and confessed to using the following as his team's achievements:

Arbalet Cup Asia 2002 16th
CPL 2003 TOP 64
ESWC 2004 16-5 to 2KEY vs eoL
Petah Tikva Cup 1st
CPL 2007 top 64 teams

As you can see, the list contains fabricated achievements, as neither did the Arbalet Cup circuit exist then, nor did 2KEY attend any of the CPL or ESWC events mentioned.

2KEY are still listed as a candidate for invitation, but it should be a matter of time before the ESWC committee analyses the case and remove them from the roster.
