RobbaN hints at SK changes

Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström has confessed that SK Gaming will undergo some changes ahead of DreamHack Summer 2010.

The Swedish giants had been tipped to go far at Arbalet Cup Europe 2010 last weekend in Stockholm, but failed to impress, exiting the tournament in the first group stage with just one victory.

Dahlström, who played for Swedish mix team Lemondogs at the Inferno Online Finals on Saturday, has indicated to Fragbite.se that there will be "changes" to the team before DreamHack Summer 2010, which will run from 19-22 June.

The former Begrip Gaming talent did not wish to reveal what type of changes he was referring to, saying it could be anything from a new strat caller, to new tactics, or even a new player.

"We have revised a couple of things, a rather big change which you will see at DreamHack Summer will be made," he told Fragbite.se.

SK have had the same quintet since bringing in Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl for Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström in February, but the ex-fnatic star's addition has done little to change the team's fortunes.

After finishing third at the Intel Extreme Masters 4 World Championship, SK were the losing finalists at Arbalet Cup Best of Four, and the disappointing result last week at home seems to have made the team think things through.

Jimmy "allen" Allén
Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl

My bet is one of the three allen/walle/RobbaN is going to be cut or retire. Gux and face are playing very well, it's pretty much always one of them leading the team in terms of frags and what ever... allen is stable but could be replaced, walle doesn't have his past skills and strat calls but I guess RobbaN could do it, and RobbaN is good but there are better players out there... Will have to see. But SK keeps changing roster after all.

Im thinking the only guy who can be kicked is face. Walle, allen and robban are the sk, they together have accomplished so much, and i believe they are good friends irl too. And gux has just proved himself as a madfragger. It would be stupid to kick him.

I'd say walle quits, robban starts calling strats and they invite someone with some hunger, someone with a very good attitude. I think it's pretty obvious that there are alot of rising talents in sweden who are very eager to prove themselves... (Something like Gux when he joined fnatic.)

They already did a couple of changes, think about face, khrystal now gux, and it all didn't help a lot. I think there is something else wrong and it aint the latest 2 additions. I Think either one of two, robban or/and walle will retire. SK needs some fresh and new blood, not in normal players but in whole gamestyle/ingame tactics.

I doubt any change could really help :l no combination of Swedish players could be better than fnatic or Na'Vi right now. maybe it would help SK get better results at tournaments, but certainly not allow them to get a 1st place at any big event. as for new tactics... not enough.

As a player sure. But walle is the strat caller. That's more important than a fragger. If you want an example look at MYM, they have lots of good fraggers but still suck because they have shitty leadership.

fisker might be 25, but I don't see that as a reason why it wouldn't be long term. fisker was a member of SK for a VERY long time when he was there last, so I do believe it could be long term. Another thing pointing in his direction, is the fact that the interview with Robban was made at a LAN tournament, where he and fisker played on the same mix team.

Lol I read so much bullsht here, its funny, people saying that robban and walle are bad, talking about manne.. LOL. Robban was their best player in their last tournament, allen has been their worst player so far, but I think he's the cap..(I THINK). And walle is and always will be epic. Gux and face are their most stable/skilled players. So I'd change allen for fisker or HeatoN like people are saying. Maybe ahl? Delpan is doing awesome too, but that would mean walle not awping..oh well, SK is on bad times, not sure how they can improve. As much as walle has done so much for SK and eSports in general, I think it is his time to go, I dont think he still has the skill to be playing in a top 3 team and will probably be replaced by someone like Delpan or moddiii IMO, there is no way Gux, face or RobbaN are leaving unless one of them quits or retires. As far as alleN, he is not as good as he used to be, but I believe he still has what it takes to frag against the top teams, although there are a few young players that they could bring in such as FYRR73, BARBARR or Xizt that could do huge things if given the chance to frag on a big name team. I think SK's best possible lineup would be; RobbaN Gux face Delpan moddiii (FYRR73, BARBARR, Xizt)

I think walle/allen/robban are great players with alot of experience, there is no doubt about that. But they are too oldbie for "2010 CS Scene". SK got to refresh their lineup with one, two even three new younger talented players. SK has showed us before that they can pay alot of money for new players (face & kHRYSTAL) so if SK going to roster changes they will sigen some of MYM players imo or HOPEFULLY sigen MODDII who playing today as stand-in for H2k-Gaming.

why should they even bother to change when they just lost a few compy. these team is great with top class player inside. Its take time to make them together and play as a team. I believe they dont talk much more on a minor problem when playing every map. This team no need to change but just talk on every map to make a different. If talking about good shape in every game they play. Problem lying on the player. Its take two hand to clap when having great form that day. They must be too enjoying their life right now and dont really care about winning.

Let me say one thing, Jumpy was the IGL in mym, wasn't he? moddii was the madfragger in mym. All I want to say that walle, robban and allen might leave and SK might crush 1 team(mym) by taking delpan. It is not the first time they are doing it. So, gux, face, delpan(awp), moddii, jumpy(igl) many might consider it as a crap, but this is my imo!

I don't think that both walle and RobbaN will leave, it's either one of them. People saying allen will be the new IGL should just watch how shy and awkward he is in interviews, not exactly the qualities that qualify you to be a great IGL. Maybe they switch to CS:S LOL

remember In china in 2009 sk beat fn with this line-up(face,walle,robban,allen and crtstal) at that time, gux was in fn!!! i mean theres nothing wrong with the line-up, just need be more patient! walle is the best cser ever, and he is a perfect leader... sk dont have to change the game style, they just need be more relaxable, and be flexible when they are playing!! sometimes, sk mates play like bots, how sad!

I'm having some sort of theory... I think they regret letting kHRYSTAL go... they might be interested in getting him back and walle or allen is going to go. RobbaN said himself that he was also strat calling with walle from time to time... and kHRYSTAL is good with the awp and rifles... would be much better than both allen and walle + he already played with Gux and face... he's also pretty clutch, imo.
