Backpacking with Alienware
Alienware has announced a backpacking competition which will take four contestants through several countries to attend various e-Sport events.
Usually when people, especially gamers, hear the word backpacking they come to think of spending days out in the wild, a campfire and some poor rations which are supposed to be food. Alienware however does not consider the above-mentioned as backpacking.
The American computer hardware company has launched the Alienware Backpacking Challenge, a competition which will give four lucky contestants the chance to attend several, major e-Sport events throughout Europe. And the whole trip starts at Disneyland, namely the Electronic Sports World Cup 2010!
The backpackers will be equipped with an Alienware M11X laptop, a video camera and a weekly budget to survive on. They have few requirements, but you have to reside in Europe, possess a creative mind, "full to the brim with vividly imaginative ideas on how to win over the gaming community", according to Alienware themselves, and that you are able to spend eight weeks blogging and traveling through Europe.

In addition to the experience of having visited a heap of events, one of the contestants, the winner, will take home a nifty sum of $5,000. If you wish to read more about Alienware's Backpacking Challenge, head over to their website.
