Archaic adds second CS team
According to dicevip.com, Archaic E-Sports have added a second Counter-Strike team to their ranks, New Zealand-based Parallax.
Although the team has been around for several years, the New Zealanders have over an extensive period of time stood without a proper home. Reminiscing to 2008, the team donned the colors of Team Sidewinder, and made an appearance at the World Cyber Games and KODE5.
Being without an organization has however not stopped the players from enjoying the competitive game, and the team holds a total of 7 WCG New Zealand victories. The squad also managed to seal the 2010 qualifier, gaining access to the WCG 2010 Grand Finals in Los Angeles later this year.
Archaic E-Sports already house an Australian team, with names such as Mike "Apoc" Aliferis and Alex "Steel" Panov in it, but have now found it fit to welcome Parallax into the warmth.
"We're very excited to be apart of the Archaic team and be supported by it's staff and incredible sponsors. Coming just off the back of a bootcamp and WCG NZ win, we look forward to building up momentum and proving ourselves under the new tag at WCG grand finals in LA, and at any other Australian events in the near future.", Byron "Simcore" McLean told dicevip.com
