PlayZone lose CS team
PlayZone have announced that their Counter-Strike squad have been reduced to pieces.
The Finnish team had brought in Luukas "lukee" Paananen, Hannu "H^N" Pohjalainen and Lassi "MulleN" Nurmio ahead of the WCG Nordic Finals after three of their players had been drafted for military duty.
At the event in Helsinki, PlayZone failed to impress and lost all four matches, which raised great concerns regarding the future of the team.
PlayZone's poor form also resulted in a dispute between Joni "Freon" Huumo and Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm, the team's oldest pieces, with the latter deciding to retire from gaming as a result.
"In their first event, the new players lacked experiance and became nervous, so Freon did not think they could become experienced fast because they had EPS Nordic soon," PlayZone owner Kristopher "Sight" Smith told HLTV.org.
"He wanted to take in some old players from the Finnish scene and try them out, while BASiC disagreed and wanted to stick with the new ones, seeing their potential.
"But Freon did not want this, and BASiC has decided to quit professional CS for now and let Freon find his new team."
With EPS Nordic just around the corner, PlayZone are already in the process of finding new players, whose names should soon be revealed.
