VIDI retires, allu leaves Playzone

HLTV.org has learned that Aleksi "allu" Rundberg has stopped playing for Playzone in order to link up with his former team.

It was for two months ago that Playzone had announced the recreation of their Finnish-based team, following a dispute between Joni "Freon" Huumo and Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm which then led to the squad's demise.

The team currently holds last-place in the ESL Pro Series Nordic III league, in which the team has not been able to rack up any points so far.

When quizzed about the situation, Rundberg confessed to HLTV.org that he did not feel that team spirit was a playing factor in the squad. "Things just didn't click", he noted.

Meanwhile, the former AndThenSome member Atte "VIDI" Hyväkkä has decided to put a stop to his professional gaming career. The reason behind his call is said to be that Hyväkkä did not feel that he was on top of his game anymore.

In order to have a team capable of competing, Playzone has called upon ex-4Kings ace Matti "SPIKEONE" Järvinen to perform as a temporary stand-in, while Rundberg has linked up with his old teammates in munkka.

Playzone now have:

Joni "Freon" Huumo
Ari "spin" Raimi
Anton "RUMBLE" Mikkola (temporary)
Jirka "jigetus" Ryhti (temporary)
Matti "SPIKEONE" Järvinen (temporary)

Both munkka and Playzone will attend the Finnish DreamHack Winter qualifier, which, according to sett.fi, will take place at the digiexpo in Helsinki between November 5-7.

Spikeone is really bad lately , jigetus is one of the best player in Scandinavia

totally not agree bro, spikeone as always been extraordinary and about jigetus, hes really good though, most of the top stars are from scandinavia so he's like top20 :S

ofc, but remember, he's like fox, if he didnt do 20+ frags, the team cant do even 7 rounds, he dont have good players to help him, like fnatic and na'vi, he is alone on the team :/ <3 jigetus

IMO sounds like after IEM there will be no finnish lineup in Playzone, if they cant get stable lineup.

Honestly, I rarely hear any good news from Finnish teams last few years =X... I think 2-3 times teams are joining the army, and people just leaving in middle of tournaments >.>.

this is actually a pretty decent lineup if they would just stick together, keep the team spirit up and practice hard. however, finnish teams tend to fail on all three of those points...

well i do remember all of them , zetor bloodR etc but the skill level is just so much bigger than it was before so thats why i didnt name them , i kinda mentioned up some "our time" players only :)

I don't think that those players are really "all-time" even though diGitaL did succeed well. If we were supposed to mention one player, I'd say bloodR.
