DSRack lose team over disagreement

The Danish scene has been struck by yet another shakeup this evening, as DSRack now stands without a Counter-Strike team.

HLTV.org had earlier today reported about XayaGaming parting ways with their Counter-Strike division. Now, another Danish organization has faced the departure of their representatives.

DSRack had in late August earlier this year announced the enrolling of the former puta team, on the exact same date as the team had qualified for WCG Denmark.

The team faced an early exit at DSRack #3 last month, where mTw and Power Gaming made sure to hinder the team in terms of advancement out of their group.

The two sides have now parted ways in a rather contradictorily manner, both stating their discrepancies to HLTV.org.

The former DSRack man Sune "crZy" Hansen proclaimed his dissension in these words:

"Last night we chose to leave the DSRack "organisation" after several discussions with the owner 'qdk'. When we joined DSRack we agreed on attending 3 events, 1 of them was cancelled and the other (SLAP Live) we werent allowed to participate at as we were team DSRack

We already had a lot of misunderstandings in the past, he barely wanted to cover our travel expenses to his own LAN, and he wanted to see logs on it! We asked him to go to the DH Qualifier in the UK, 13-14 november, we couldnt go, and basically he wanted us to stay for the rest of 2010 in DSRack without attending a single event"

We therefore return to our old and beloved home #puta and we're searching for a new and RELIABLE home. Please contact our manager Trier if you have any questions!"

DSRack's team IRC channel displays the current topic:

"Team-DSRack - Our 1.6 team broke their contract with DSRack. Lets hope some other org. have better luck with the team."

When HLTV.org quizzed DSRack ApS owner and founder, Thomas "qdk" Hjorth, about the termination of the contracts, he replied:

"They think a contract is up for debate when no results are rolling in. We had 3-4 specific events lined up and planned for 2010 and made a contract based on them, but because NPFs 1.6 tour was canceled and they didnt qualify for KGC (under a non-DSRack tag) they had some ideas about DSRack owing them other events, which we of course couldnt approve when the team doesnt even qualify for the real tournaments; WCG.dk, KGC and DSRack LAN all ended with nothing notable, so a trip to the UK is not an option and the team didnt feel like holding up their end of our deal, so they left to find some other org."

Questioned about Hansen's statement, which noted that Hjorth barely wanted to cover their expenses for DSRack #3, he continued:

"Several days of little to no sleep and very busy helping out the tournaments with technical support, and the team picks that time to talk about getting their expenses covered, without any previous agreement... Perfect time as always and they of course didnt give a shit about my focus on the tournament now that they didnt even qualify for the playoff. The tournament can wait, right? Anyway, its a lame comment from crzy as always, I live up to my end of the agreement and paid according the deal we made, its as simple as that."

HLTV.org furthermore knows that Bjørn "carat" Olesen has planned to step down his active gaming career. Allegedly, the above recounted story plays a big factor in Olesen's retirement decision.

With Ali "Bazooun" Asadi being on the free market, following his departure from the former XayaGaming squad, it is not unlikely that he will be seen playing alongside puta.

puta currently boast:

Denmark Christian "Nissos" Øhrstrøm
Denmark Nabil "BULI" Rachid
Denmark Sune "crZy" Hansen
Denmark Oliver "DON OLIVER" Sonne
Denmark
Bjørn "carat" Olesen

Let me see if I get this straight: ...talk about getting their expenses covered, without any previous agreement.. so, no agreement. Ok, I can see how someone bugging you about it might be annoying when you're trying to keep a tournament running smoothly. but then... I live up to my end of the agreement and paid according the deal we made, its as simple as that." So, deal or no deal?

So you expect us to qualify to WCG to keep your end of the deal? we came 3rd/4th after loosing close 9-16 13-16 to mTw... KGC - we couldnt attend as DSRack since we were banned.

seems a bit harsh from DSrack. how can arrangements to attend a tournament hosted by your organisation not be in place from day one? seems ridiculous. as for being upset at the results... well if you expect them to beat 2 absolutely world class teams in the first few months (or however long they've been with DSrack) then you're completely deluded. Expecting too much of a really unknown team (internationally anyway) in a very competitive country imo.

This just looks like another spoiled team. I do quite enjoy looking at semi pro teams crying about not being sent to LAN events when they barely put in the results to even deserve being sent to a LAN. Looking at the whole situation from an organisations point of view there would be no point in sending a semi pro team to a LAN if you know they are not even gonna end up in the top10. It costs alot sending five/six players to an event and of course money does not grow on trees you have to deserve being sent to Dream Hack or what ever LAN you had in mind. To be quite honest you seemed like a nice guy crZy but a couple of weeks ago I heard that you threatened to leave an organisation if they took on a UK CS division(Think it was Free Agents). And all these things in my book make you look like a spoiled brat.

We're not a spoiled team at all. We made a deal when we signed with DSRack, to attend 3 events and to discuss whats gonna happen next. We were barred from one of the events cause we were named DSRack and the other one was cancelled, which resulted in only 1 lan with 2 standins. Therefor we tried to talk to him about sending us to UK, an event we expected to go at least top3 in. How can you say we wont place top10 in that DH qual when there arent any of the teams on that list which are the least better than us, or have ever accomplished anything :) im just asking.

besides that, he barely kept hes end of the deal @ dsrack. We only got 50% of our transportation covered meanwhile the deal when we signed was that all our expenses should be covered.
