x6tence say no to KODE5

x6tence e-sports club have announced they will not be attending the KODE5 Global Finals in Peru.

The Spanish team had secured a spot at the KODE5 event after winning the Spanish qualifier back in January under the name Ledpc.

However, some months after the qualifier, the company which held the KODE5 license in Spain broke up and told the team they would not be able to pay for their trip to Peru.

The Spanish organiser then got in touch with the KODE5 chiefs to explain the situation and find a way to support the team with their travelling and lodging costs.

With three of the players making a move to x6tence last month, the organisation tried to work something out, but despite their efforts to contact KODE5, they received no answer from the tournament chiefs.

"We want to publicly and officially critize this kind of organisations which provide no security to the competitions they organize and do not help the growth of esports and are an absolute burden to their expansion," an x6tence statement read.

"Finally, given the attitude of the KODE5 organisation, we are officially announcing that x6tence will not participate in any KODE5 event, nor will we collaborate in any way with the aforementioned organisation in the future."

This decision leaves the 2010 KODE5 Global Finals with no European representatives, as Russian side Iron Will have also confirmed they will miss out on the tournament.

If reacting 'like that' is kindly requesting to compile with the site rules, I presume even you would have to agree. I know that some expressions are better known than others but everyone sticking to English makes things much easier to understand.

If everything was written in English, why one word was not? ::) - Because everyone knows "vamos" word. The reason for this is already explained in #41. - I don't care about that lame explanation because it's fully visible that you've made mistake by warning that guy. Take care and go over 100k posts ... you can do it !

That 'lame' explanation is the only one you will get as the forum rules are there for you to read and comply with. It is as easy as that. And that is not a point 'open to discussion'. I do not care if the word is more or less known, only English is to be used in the forums. Thank you.

just on paper! in fact the organizers of KODE5 still didn't payed a lot of prize-money(~150.000$) to mTw, FX, Fnatic, SK,... - Martin(Guddo)Cordingа(ex-manager of “MTW”) said! there is a huge ROW! between ru cs community(teams, clubs, sites) and orgs of KODE5! there are a lot of sites in Ru and Ua where these news are posted on main page!

I understand that it seems unfair from where you see it but they just don't go there, there's nothing unfair in that, they are not forced to go. the fact is that KODE5 has become a shitty event, they can't pay the prizes and the teams just don't trust them anymmore, they're the only ones the blame for all that

simple bcs here we have no way to host big events like usa i.e all big teams go to usa for a world final.... like kode5 brasil had almost 20hrs. fire got tons of delays, not that big events dont delay, but in south america ALL "BIG" TOURNEYS work on a 6 hours delay basis at least...

well look at it this way, when a south american team can go to europe for a tournament but have to pay their expenses themselves they seldom goes, that's the same here. It's really expensive going to Peru from europe therefor not many team would pay for going to this, definetely not for a tournament which have trouble paying prizemoney.

As they said above, i feel sorry for the sponsors who trusted the fags at KODE5, because the shitty teams attending cant give much profit.

The problem is not that there are only shitty teams. CNB and Wild Ineters are good teams, the problem is that they are the ONLY real teams in the tournament...

They are ok teams, not that good, their not a world class team... Sponsors money is going to the trash, sad but true, this is why less companys put money into esports.

The problem is simple: Peru. For god sake, if you're doing a WORLD championship in South America, do it in BRAZIL, which is the biggest and richer country there. Or even in Argentina. But Peru, god dammit?!?

Yes, I'd rather that. But if they want SO BAD to do a tournament in South America, Brazil is the best option there is.

The situation around IW is almost the same, but now all the biggest russian community sites and gamecenters suggested an ultimatum to the local organizers of KODE5 represented by proplay.ru and the RopNet company. They need to host a tourney with a 12000$ prizemoney (value needed to send IW to Peru) or they will be ignored everywhere and their reputation will be unrecovered.
