Edward wins Best Highlight award

Natus Vincere's Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev has scooped HLTV.org's award for Best Frag Highlight of the year.

Last week, we compiled a list with the 12 frag highlights produced by us over the year which we thought that blew the community's mind away the most.

Over 3,500 votes were counted over the past week, and with a staggering 43 percent, Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev's action against fnatic has been declared the winner.

Filip "Neo" Kubski's round against SWEDA came in at second in the poll with 18 percent, followed by André "keiz" Carlsson's 1on5 round against RAGE, curiously his new team, with almost 10 percent of votes.

i think it's quite random...shooting in the same spot while enemies are just running into your crosshair doesnt require a lot of skill... IMO ave or neo are much better... and evolutions ace is quite sick too

Did you watch the video ? His crosshair hardly stays in one spot, he tracks the heads of all five members of Fnatic. He gets lucky with one shot where he doubles up two heads, but come on ... 5 headshots with USP in one clip vs Fnatic ... 40% of the votes is hardly overrated, his highlight was clearly the best.

I haven't seen or know of zonic's ace vs Lions so I cannot comment on this. But it seems that HLTV.org has decided against showcasing his frags for one reason or another. I am not saying Edward's was the best set of frags in the year, but it was easily one of the best if not thee best highlight which was showcased on HLTV.org. And to obtain 43% of the votes, where the runner up(s) had 18% and 9% is saying something. I doubt all of these votes were just from fanboys. Keiz IMO was under rated, as was Neo and it does suck to see. But you can't deny that Edward's took one hell of a lot of skill and aim to pull off.

You are right. Some people here probably need glasses. Edward is not aiming at one spot at all. To meet that kind of skill on public server I'd say the movements of his crosshair were caused by aimbot :-). That is why it is amazing. He's actually doing these smooth movements with his mouse :-).

Umhhh In 2nd,3rd and 4th kill Edward barely move his crosshair and also he has a teamnate shooting with him. Well zonic's frag against h2k was pretty sick.. I think keiz was really under rated, for me the best highlight here. But people have their own opinion. Edward frag : He had a teamnate shooting with him. Its a really small place to shoot at which is really bad for T. His frag is just "aim". Keiz frag : One vs Five Nice decisions Nice reflexes Nice aim Nice positioning. That's just for me.

5 out of 12 with a faster pistol and all the enemies are coming into the crosshair...and btw it's round 1 !!! what about evolution 5 out of 7...slower pistol...and the opponents have guns !

yup still not that awesome 2nd time I see it xD average grade = 5 +1 for headshots only +1 for getting all 5 +1 for doing it with 1 clip -1 enemy only got glocks from average range -1 player got USP at average range final grade: 6 =D

+1 Same for NEO (18%). All of polish fanboys voted for him... 4 kills in 25 seconds, 15 bullets for the first one and the second was an easy frag. Best were keiz/evolution/dsn

WHAT? u never saw NO ONE in this world, acing fnatic with 5 headshots, not with m4, not with ak, it doesnt matter where or what the hell they were using, they were all looking at him, and to get_right he had only 1 bullet.. u never saw an action like this 1, never and u never will, this is CS BEST HIGHLIGHT ever! 12 bullets 5 Hs vs fnatic, beat that!

you both are stressing on different points... ur point - edward's moment wasnt that tough compared to others, obviously he himself didn't plan on executing this, and thts not the case with some other frag highlights where it didnt just somehow happened, they made it happen (ya i agree) But personally i also voted for edward cause honestly that was an amazing moment, I mean how often do u come across something like this in a big event against a top tier team.. If you were watching any of the matches from the frag highlights.. edwards frags define the moment when you say "WTF DID JUST HAPPEN o.O" - thts what i based my judgment on i.e. the thrill that a particular frag highlight gave me..

they werent all looking at him lol, ur delirious, they ran into his usp spray with no helmets on, like i said b4....edward could have had his eyes closed and still pulled that ace off. not that impressive and nowai does it deserve the #1 spot....in other frag highlights people had to mvoe around and take people down 1v1 in tense situations to win the round in a 1v3 or 1v4...edward sat in 1 spot and sprayed his usp into unsuspecting fnatic...

easily the best frag throughout the whole year, not only was it a TD against the 2nd best team (their performance last year) but to use only 12 bullets in a USP clip is just amazing. + JUSTICE is playing at Summerdazye in melbourne on saturday so the music wins too :D

Tixo deserved top 3. Neo WTF?! Edward Video not over-rated, need to find me a clip of someone else doing that exact same thing. Even against Bots i want a vid of someone doing that. Its not as easy as it looks in my opinion.
