ASUS Winter groups drawn

The groups for ASUS Winter 2011 have been drawn and the 34 attending teams have now learned who they will face in the first group-stage.

The last participants for the tournament were found this week and the organizers have now announced the groups. The first group-stage sees eight groups, where six counts four teams and two groups will have five teams. The first group-stage will be played Saturday February 26.

Top two placed in each group will advance to the second group-stage, which will also be played on Saturday. The groups for ASUS Winter 2011 are:

U can say that to Headache, because they got huge job to do, u maybe not know team "JUST" they will be big threat aswell as ALTERNATE. Ofcourse i hope that our team can do some serious damage there, but in my opinion chances are small.

well i haven't seen really good results from JUST so i assume that their not that high, and probably Headache can twist some heads and alternate isn't such a skilled team either, their about the same level as headache maybe lower, their pretty unstable, So GL to Headache, i gotta go you can respond or not don't care, won't reply back anyways:P

headache play at very most 1 month with that lineup, and i havent seen good results from them as well, just they won asus baltic where no real teams... And Alternate are much higher lvl... if they get out from group 2nd they very lucky, but after that they gona loose all games

1. M5 2. ARENA 3. USSR 4. k23/IronWill 5-8. k23/IronWill 5-8. PowerGaming 5-8. dateam 5-8. Alternate IMHO. M5/ARENA are both favorites for the titles. They have the best lineups on paper. First big tournament for USSR and I'm sure hooch and his talents can't wait to prove their skill. They are probably very motivated to take this title and have potential to go far. PowerGaming has played a few ASUS cups and has always disappointed. They have a newly formed team with lurppis which will most likely make them overrated. They are always struggling against unpredictable eastern european teams but this time I do expect them to get past the 2nd group stage. Alternate does not have the raw skill to compete with the top eastern European teams and lacks experience to perform internationally. If they aren't careful they might not even get past the 2nd group stage. Swedish teams are always dangerous no matter what. If they don't underestimate their opponents they can make it into the top8. k23 is playing with their old lineup and even though these players aren't as dedicated as they used to be, they can be very imbalanced and if they are having a good day they might even place top 3.
