OSPL Spring 2011 announced

OSPL Spring 2011 has been announced to take place April 2-3 in Kazakhstan, with an $8,500 prize purse for Counter-Strike 1.6.

Kazakhstan might initially be linked with Murat "Arbalet" Zhumashevich, but OSPL Spring is not associated with the man behind the Arbalet Cup's and the financial support of Natus Vincere.

Not much information about event has been released, other than it will feature three game titles – Counter-Strike 1.6, DoTA and FIFA 11. The total prize purse for the event is $26,000 and the majority of it is pumped into DoTA.

The detailed prize distribution for Counter-Strike 1.6 is:

1. 800,000 tenge (~$5,466)
2. 300,000 tenge (~$2,050)
3. 150,000 tenge (~$1,025)

Despite the low prize purse, rumors are currently floating that the IEM5 World Champions from Natus Vincere will attend the event.
