Millenium beat eSahara to win MaXlan

Millenium has been crowned winners of MaXlan 2010, following a 2-1 victory against Electronic Sahara in the Grand Final.

The Grand Final at the French event saw Electronic Sahara take on Millenium. The matchup was the one expected to decide who would be the winners of the €1,000 cheque. Millenium came to the final after a 2-1 win against QWERTY in the semi-final, while eSahara made it with a 2-0 victory against Sypher from Belgium.

In the final, eSahara started out by winning a very close battle on first map de_nuke, pulling out victoriously with a 16-14 score line. On de_dust2 Millenium retaliated, winning 16-8. Final map de_inferno Millenium continued solid play and eSahara did not have much to fight back with. This all ended up at a 16-6 win for Millenium, who with a 2-1 victory won MaXlan 2011.

Ozstriker is bitter and rancorous since he was kicked from eSahara. He was the one sucking with no other strats than "rush rush rush and play with skill". It's obvious that eSahara are just a group of friends playing for fun now. The game is dying in France and even Majer spends as many time playing sc2 as CS.

imo a fast rush is more complicated to prepare than a slow tactic, everything (stuff, timings..) must be perfect for it to work properly imo oz is right about harts, he's the only one who's both a good player and an awesome igl

Agree it'd be great if he could pick up maj + six tho, with diodel they are probably the most interesting players we have especially if they aim for international tournaments I still don't understand why it hasn't happend yet, when i see how hard sixer is trying and how hard they fail internationally ...

Totally agree with you for Harts but he's already the past and present of CS in France. Hope he will continue and find some line up with good alchemy & skill to make good perf but I'm afraid he may get tired of the game after all these years and have motivation decreasing. To be honest I was a bit disapointed by M level in this tournament, not very impressive and far from international requirement. eS had no training but managed to score 2 maps. I just hope both team will find some new motivation to train and be competitive in international tournaments.

Don't expect much from eS :( but yeah if only harts could get sixer and majer to join him, with diodel they could actually get a podium internationally

yeh true they won but didn't shine much actually. However I don't think they're training a lot, all we can read in their players' interviews makes me think that they wanna be good but don't have too high expectations (unfortunatly cuz they really have a solid line up about HaRts... it's clear that he won't be in the place for many years now, but I think cs won't last too long in France. I'm sick of ppl saying "cs is bying blablabla" all the time but I must say it's probably about to happen in France

Definitely agree. I don't know, how sixeR and Maj3r feel with this, but I mean, maybe they are okey, with rara being 8 levels down their level. Maybe, they just are friends and they like each others company. But like I said previously, if sixeR and Maj3r want to achieve something, they need to cut rara and, if Geno's doesn't want that, they need to remove him too. :)

agree, you just forgot to mention that geno sucks at ingame leading i don't get why sixer and majer stay with those guys especially when i look how hard sixer tries internationally ( he gets honorable mention but they never reach any podium, without all this dead weight he'd have no problem )

Well, it's not about sucking, but they didn't train because they still think that they are able to dominate the national scene with only their skills wich is totaly false now that Millenium are traning seriously :) mSx would fit in Rara place & if Geno's basic lead isn't great for them they will just take RiGo and everything will be fine.

Good question, I think it's because the Millenium players are not abble to quit our jobs/studies during a week for CS. They gonna try to do the Xperia LAN, but without iOrek.

Just for information Xperia is a tournament at Copenhagen Games in Denmark ;) Xperia is afaik main sponsor of the CS1.6 tour, and therefore its called Xperia :) It could be a possibility that Millenium can't quit jobs/studies, but I thought there were payed to play cs like all topteams. All the deadly of us have to take some time off to go to LAN if we want :D I just came to my mind that it was long time since i've last saw them at any LAN other than french ones :)

kinda true tbh I mean you could have SIXER, Diodel, HaRts, loduN, MAJ3R mshz, R!Go-, mSx, MaT-, NOtA dafunk, Geno, Xp3, YanK, Yoshi ...and still have a few really good players left like drizzer or CosMo. 2 bad they just don't wanna win big titles

But it's Rara that binds the team ! Rara goes and the team disband at the next tournament. I really don't know who could fill the role that fills Rara in France. It's like ceh9 for NaVi

you can't compare ceh9 with Rara. I agree with you about the fact that Rara manages a good feeling in eS team. But he has a terrible lack of skill compared to Esenin. Anyway I can't believe that sixeR or MAJ3R are too unsociable to be incompatible with other players than their eS mates. Imo a disband could be a good thing.
