ROCCAT introduce Kulo headset

The German based organisation ROCCAT have introduced a new headset into the market named the Kulo. The Kulo is a Stereo Gaming Headset based on a lightweight frame, but doesnt compromise on features of a full bodied headset.

The Kulo Stereo Gaming Headset was developed after intensive research and design studies. The headset features a lightweight headband but still maintains the thick confortable padding that users have come to appreciate after hours of gaming. The headset also rests on your ears, not totally around them, allowing for better breathing and a reduction in sweat. The headset comes in at a remarkable weight of 178 grams!

The Kulo also comes equipped with Noise Cancelling technology, making this ideal for gaming in loud LAN centres or simply at home without any interuptions. ROCCAT have also incorporated premium 40mm drivers into the design which have been optimised for gaming, music and chat.

One of the special features on the Kulo, is how the microphone works. When the microphone arm is down, the microphone is on, when the arm is raised your microphone is muted. This has been developed to eliminate those moments when your microphone is accidently muted and no-one can hear you speaking. The Kulo also features a slim in-line microphone where you can control the volume level.

The Kulo is available for purchase in two different packages. The first is just the headset itself which retails for MSRP €59.99 which is available now.

The second package includes the Headset and a 7.1 USB Soundcard comes in at the MSRP of €79.99. This package will not be available until May 2011.

At first I was excited roccat was creating hardware for the gamers. So I went out and bought a couple of Roccat stuff. Every single one of them broke within a month.. My keyboard AND my mouse. I've been playing on my G15 since 2006 and not 1 single problem. Really disappointed in Roccat.

Roccat valo gave up after 2 days. Roccat kone after 3 weeks. But hey, could've been coincidence.

Yea, I had a ROCCAT Kone which lasted 5 months, the sensor stopped working properly and the "cpu sense" stuff never worked at all. Got it replaced under warranty. The new one last 3 weeks. :/ The mouse was amazing while it worked. But a shame they died. Back to MX518. :) Roccat Kave however, amazing.

Way too expensive for the kind of headset. It doesn't go over your ears and is generally not really needed when the Kave will still be a lot better and its only about £10 more, if you search around. They should concentrate on making other stuff better. Like a rival to the QcK Heavy mousemat is what i'd like to see. Or bring the prices down on other products like the VALO etc.
