Help SteelSeries design a new mouse

SteelSeries have announced their "Designed by Gamers" project – your chance to have a say in how their new mouse should look like.

Earlier this week, Kim Rom the Chief Marketing Officer at SteelSeries, teased us by uploading a photo of a mouse on his tumblr account, adding that SteelSeries would air a new project this week. Just as promised, SteelSeries have now announced what their "Designed by Gamers" project is all about.

SteelSeries will in late 2011 release a new mouse, but the design is not settled yet. This is where Steelseries wants you - the gamers – to help them pick the design. 8 designs have been selected by SteelSeries, the call which of the 8 will become a reality is now up to you and the rest of the community.

The selection will in e-sport manners be duked out in a single-elimination bracket and after each voting round (quarters, semis and the final), three winners will be picked, who will receive a complete SteelSeries gear setup of their own choice. Icing the top of the cake, SteelSeries will also raffle away a brand new Shuttle PC, between everyone who votes in the last round.

I don't agree, the blue ones are the sickest. Second "fight" are the sickest imo. its like Barcelona VS R.Madrid, the best mouses so far..

I agree. But those things are meant to bring in some kids to buy those. And SS mice are very boring when it comes to looks. Yeah they're brilliant considering performance, but for some people it doesn't matter. So I would suggest some features on this mouse.

Oh yeah, obviously they sell and do not care if they break down quickly, assume that this happens because of lack of care. The reality is that they are of poor quality, hopefully improve in the new models. I'll stick with my old Logitech mx 518, with 5 years, never gave me problems. =)

It's up to you, but I don't see a reason why you wouldn't use it if you have registered. It takes like a minute to register so I don't see how that one minute is so crucial for you. Besides, you can win tons of prizes in this competition so why not? =)

Because Facebook has made it almost impossible to totally erase your account from their website. You can only inactivate it but they still can rape your ass anytime they want. That is why Facebook is evil and you should reject it. That is mostly my own, and some million others at youtube, opinion =)

this is stupid. SS are obviously morons who think they've made the perfect mouse so all they're doing is changing the colors(& IMO making the side buttons worse). ikari and kinzu/xai are both only for certain sized hands. they either need to make a mouse that would fit all size hands or make different sizes for the same mice...
