After a hectic Xperia PLAY event with tons of great rounds, we now return to our exclusive movie project, bringing you an amazing round by one of Sweden's greatest.

Towards the end of 2003, SK announced that Christoffer "brunk" Forsberg had left the team after growing unhappy at his lack of playing time since the arrival of Ola "ElemenT" Moum. However, since the Norwegian could not play for SK at the WCG, SK called in Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed, who would help the team win the event in Seoul.

In this frag highlight, Mohamed patiently waits in the middle after his team had planted the bomb on the B site and then kills three Team 3D players to win the round for SK.

Oh, excuse me Mr.Pro maybe you didn't know but this was back when SpawN played for SK as a stand-in and he was still nowhere the level we know where he can be. And not to mention they met the best team in the world at that time so when you kill 3 people like that at the final of WCG 2003, call me. Don't think that you're some hotshot here just because it looked "easy". Take a good look at the facts first before posting bullshit.

The deal is back in the day anyone with 5hrs of pratctice could do stuff like SpawN... and it was easy to get on top back then... today the facts that you mention are changing every day. Its soo random you even cant have a favourite team like back then. Its really hard to compete now as a pro cs player. Back then it was little bit of aim, no super skill like today. I dont see SpawN today or HeatoN doing dmg. Or even SpawN the great back few years couldnt get a Title. end of story.

But if you're so much more awesome and better than SpawN why don't you qualify for the WCG and let's see what you got since you think you're some hotshot. Was it easy to get back on top then? Maybe you didn't know who played back then, here I'll show you: SK, 3D, NoA, mouz, MiBR, team9, zEx, 4Kings, The Titans, Begrip, mTw, x6tence, aAa. Those were the teams that could challenge for the titles. And who the heck do we have now? NaVi, FX, SK, mTw, I'm not gonna mention fnatic because we saw what they have showed after IEM 5 European and in my opinion they were lucky in that tournament but that's off topic. As you see, back then it was a bigger challenge and more hard than it is today to win a big tournament. And when you say that there was no super skill today, I'm gonna a little quote from one of the most talented and best players to ever play the game, elemeNt, and show you and take a good look at this. " The old SK people and 3D they were some sort of pioneers that found out all these tricks that all the top teams are using today. Without top players back in the day helping developing the game who knows how people would have been today. " So saying that SpawN played good because there was no competition back then is a really stupid argument. And that SK was winning everything because there were no other good teams than SK them selfs, is also, a really stupid argument, there was more competition back then, then it is today.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the same cs then. Cuz i was playing that all the time and i couldn't get that far! although being 13. And another thing, back in 03 counter strike matches was less competitive and so a great amount of skill wasn't required. (lidda already told you that--"nd that SK was winning everything because there were no other good teams than SK them selfs"-- dont agree with "was more competition back then" because you only can have a superior competitive environment if you have few other enemies that can destroy you! eheh) Nowadays teams play more team-based tactic matches but there are still some that play like old times. In Example: Sk in the last event (Xperia Play)more aim-based game, less tactical-based game. I mean, you can have your ideas, but don't shout'em with no sense at all. And thats not end of the story!

Those three frags back in 2003 were sth special though nowadays a regular player can do it...Back then CS was just duck and spray...CS had existed for only 3 years and 1.6 had just been released...+ stand-in against the best team at that time...grand final...high stakes..big crowd + 17 yrs

try and think of it like this. in the early 1980's a "really good cricket catch" was a basic two hander. These days a "really good cricket catch" is an amazing diving 1 hander (something that would never happen back then). At the time of this clip (2003) Spawn was only 17, the game hadn't even been around that long. There were no 'theorycraft' on how to handle situations, you just tried to kill them all. It's not like people were training for years and years to attempt that situation. Combine, the age of the clip, with the situation (WCG WORLD FINAL), this is an amazing clip.

Yeah. That pretty much explains my reason for not finding this too amusing. I started playing in '06 and following the international scene around wcg '07. And by then this was already a very ordinary thing. So, only the people who have been around for that long and know all of those things are able to appreciate it. So, any newschool guy will not appreciate it because it is not stunning "out of the box". It has to be explained to even be appreciated (which also takes away half the fun of it). Hence, I, being one of the new school guy, do not find this special. And i expressed it, causing half of the forum members opening their can of insults on me.

okay as it was wcg final the clip was good But i just want to point out that cs in 2003 was not that tactically advanced. NO offence to teams like 3d , NIP , coL(one of my favourites)But today's teams Like NAVI , FX , MTW , FNATIC and even current SK can destroy and demolish those teams. And if Spawn was in his 2002-2006 form at present and if he played against these GIANT teams , i am sure he would be an average player

yes it was not that tactically evolved, but on the other hand it is interesting how each players role and movement on a certain map was very strictly determined. also they played a lot slower back then. that started changing radically in 2007-08 i believe.
