exotic release CS team

Exotic Island have announced they have dispensed with the services of their Counter-Strike division.

This decision comes in the aftermath of the team's quarter-final exit at the EPT3 finals in Ourém earlier this month after a 2-0 loss to Paranoids.

"Based not only on the last performances, but also on the players' lack of motivation, the administration has decided to release the Counter-Strike. 1.6 team," an exotic statement read.

"News is expected soon, so stay tuned."

Exotic announced back in March their new Counter-Strike division with three former members of k1ck, a project which looked good on paper but failed to meet the organisation's hopes.

With the qualifying process for the WCG underway in Portugal, it is expected that exotic will reveal their new team.

Exotic had the following team:

Portugal Bruno "BurN" Ferreira
Portugal Tiago "blacky" Castro
