defs raid Paranoids

Defining Stars have announced the acquisition of Paranoids' Counter-Strike division.

Following several roster changes in the past months, Defining Stars had decided to shut down their male Counter-Strike department. However, they are now ready to give it another shot.

Defining Stars today announced they have successfully acquired the team from their long-time rivals Paranoids.

Defs capture Paranoids

The news comes as a bit of a shock to the Portuguese community, as Richardo "rmn" Oliveira recently left Defining Stars to join up with Paranoids, which ultimately meant the demise of their squad.

Defining Stars' decision to raid Paranoids is based on the team's recent results, the talent the team possesses and the fact they have proven to be a stable squad.

Two victories at the most recent XLParties, third-place finish in the Electronic Portuguese Finals and a slot to the country's WCG qualifier are the team's latest achievements.

"It's with great sadness but at the same time with great enjoy, that we thank the support given by Paranoids through all this time. The team is very happy to embrace this project because defining stars have been proofing to all of us, that they are a consistent, strong, original and a determined organization", Tiago "dzt" Gonçalves told the team's website.

Defining Stars now have:

Tiago "dzt" Gonçalves
André "keznitt" Morais
João "DARKY" Ribeiro
Christopher "mUttt" Fernandes
Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira

Defining Stars are currently participating in theSGL European Challenge 2011, positioned in fourth place with two victories and two losses. Next up on their schedule is MEO XLParty, which will take place in Porto next month.

Defenitly, defs & k1ck are the two best teams in Portugal right now, and if k1ck don't wake up defs can take top1 in some event, suprising with 3 young talents, rmn, mUt, keznitt.

their? darky is only 1. and im far from a newbie man, i follow CS since 2005/2006, i've seen great players, EPIC players, nice players, not so good players and bad players and guess what, imo darky fits in the last category.. my opinion worths what it worths, worths for me, thats why its called and opinion, not a fact and again, IMO darky is not a good player.. maybe he plays good vs lame pt teams but vs medium teams he cant do nothing, and to end this conversation, he is the weakest player in this team..

are you f*cking joking me ? darky is a really calm and pacive player, and he never comes on top of all matches has top fragger bcause in ALL @T strats he's the piggy (If you know what that is in a strat)surelly if you follow cs since 2k6 you'll know that sometimes if got awesome aimers in a team + epic strats + a piggy player, awp wont be necessary, in fact, they would had to make up diferent ways to use theyr tactics as Terrorist, and believe me, "-Darky" not gonna happen...

i dont want them to remove him, seriously, i dont give a rats ass about the pt scene to be honest, i just dont think he's very good.. the first frag, the entry frag, is the most important frag of a round and having a player that only takes few points of health to his opponents, he's not a value to his team, he has to kill.. :s thats my opinion. but again, i dont care about this, at all

yeah, a "star" player like spekz would gladly take the worst spot on the team, it would be awesome to watch spekz having to spam every round for the other players , and to do the backup rotations lol. Darky is a good player, his task for what it seems to me, and for what i've been told, is to help out the team, to spam for their mates enter the bombsight and so on, to rotate from 1 bombsight to another and so on. In tactical way, even if he was in a better shape than he is at the moment, he wouldn't kill more. It would be the same due to his task and role on the team. My opinion. Ps: I don't know for who i replied, i meant to reply to #74.

Only a person that doesn't know the game would say such thing about darky. But even if you are talking aim-wise, I'm sure you don't follow the scene since 2006/2006. Otherwise you wouldn't say darky is not a good player.

I still got my opinion, and I know that DAKRY do that role, but if duzt could do that role, and spekz entering the team as awp, they could be top1. and in my opinion the costs of they're salaries are just pure waste, since they don´t make enough money in tournaments to at least cover the amount of their salaries/year. They're wages are overrated, better foreign teams don't event get salaries and win by far more then them in tournament prizes. Just my opinion ofc.

lol? defs as a whole is better then k1ck (my opinion again), k1ck is only known for having a the best Portuguese team, lets see if defs can get the top1 till the end of this year or in the next year, but that doesn't make them the best organization only the one who is willing to pay salaries to players who in the end don't give any profit whatsoever to their org. (ps, not a question of money but of doing the correct move!!)

I really like the way portuguese teams tends to swap players left to right. I mean like, k1ck has been a stable team for years while on the otherside, other teams has been picking each others organization and players!
