SEC 2011 dates and location set

The dates and location surrounding the 2011 Samsung European Championship has been announced. The event will take place October 6-9 in Warsaw at the Centrum EXPO XXI, where the Polish WCG qualifier will also be staged.

Last month a report suggested the event would be held in late September or early October. The organizers have now announced exact dates for the event, which will take place in the Polish capital Warsaw.

SEC 2011 will take place October 6-9 at the Centrum EXPO XXI, the same location for the Polish WCG qualifier, which will run simultaneously with SEC.

Game titles for the event are expected to be Counter-Strike, StarCraft II, FIFA 11 and Asphalt 6.

No additional information has been released, meaning we do not know if there will be a qualifying process this year, neither how many teams will be competing and how big a prize pool they will fight for.

To be honest, I've been to Warsaw once for couple of hours and IT IS great city, but don't be so fascinated, in my humble opinion Krakow is a lot better. If city authorities destroy "szkieletor" and make one-big-great-amazing skyscraper, it'll be the best place to create every event in Poland. Really. pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szkieletor
