The DreamHack organization has announced the groups for the upcoming DreamHack MSI Championship at DreamHack Summer.

The summer edition of DreamHack will begin on Saturday and will be fully loaded with Counter-Strike action, featuring three tournaments. The largest one would be DreamHack's own tournament, which has been labeled DreamHack MSI Championship.

The group drawing, where the 12 teams participants got divided into two groups of six teams, took place tonight and the groups are as follows:

mTw	fnatic
Lions	Moscow Five
Millenium	playArt
Kaos	x6tence
BYOC Team #1	BYOC Team #2

First place finishers of each group will advance directly to the semi-final, while second and third placed teams of each group will enter the quarter-final (just like IEM).

The two remaining teams for the tournament will be found through the BYOC qualifier, which will start at 14:00CET Saturday. The qualifier has already a few hot teams signed up: DTS, ESC Gaming, TCM Gaming and alchemists Unleashed.

The group stage will begin at 09:00CET on Sunday and is expected to finish around midnight. Monday will feature the playoffs, with the Grand Final scheduled to start at 21:00CET. The teams will be fighting for a prize purse of little over €11,000. Top three finishers will be getting following prizes:

1. €6,715
2. €3,350
3. €1,120

HLTV.org will be on site in Jönköping to bring you all of the action from the DreamHack MSI Championship, as well as the IOL FINAL4 and the Swedish WCG qualifier final between SK Gaming and fnatic.

no, it's his personal opinion and maybe it doesn't mean that he is a kid? it's not bad 'coz delpan has a contract with fnatic and he shouldn't play with sk (in theory), but if they finished transfer and sk paid money he can play.

breaking a contract doesn't mean not respecting the law, if there's something in the contract that allows you to leave (as it is the case here). Playing cs is not like any job, if you're not motivated or don't get along too well with your mates then you're gonna perform bad, so there's no point in keeping a player that doesn't wanna play with you anyways.

Still the contract should be respected! What use of a contract if you dont? "Playing cs is not like any job", hey he's doin cs for job as far as I know. That's why he's given a contract and salary by fnatic. You want e-sport go big? make the scene looks professional! Does breaking the contract looks professional to majority or even to us?

Who said I wanted esport to grow big? lol I like cs but to me it's still just a game, I don't care much about the "professional" aspect of it. That's why contracting a cs player is risky, just like signing an artist for example. If someone doesn't really feel like doing something or doesn't have the motivation to do it your contract won't be of much use as he won't be doing well anyway

tbh i dont meant that specifically to you, its just my rant :P Well, in Delpan case he's binded with fnatic, and his contract is worth some money. As an profit org, you don't want to lose the chance to get $$, are you? Delpan already signed the contract, so he's responsible to do his obligation till the contract ends.

yeh but you didn't get my point, even if he still respected his contract, he would play like shit cuz he wouldn't have the motivation to play, so fnatic would have released him anyways. But since the decision comes from the player and not the orga people consider him as a sort of traitor

I'm totally sure that fnatic already kick Delpan out of their future plan, that's proved when they signed gux back and added manne to their lineup. But like I said, since Delpan's still worth some money they won't release him for free, especially to their biggest rival, not without a big compensation. :p So my opinion in this case : Delpan attitude is crap, fnatic got the upper hand, while SK like any other stories will just adding a bad reputation to their fame.

Don't get me wrong about snajdan. I truly love him, but I don't believe in this constilation of players. If they managed to reach the playoffs and maybe even a semi-final in the end, I would happily admit I was wrong about them. It's not that I don't cheer for them but the fact that I don't think they are top 3 in group A, nor top 6 of the event in total. Thanks for reading, that was my cup of tea!

FX havn't had much better finishes over all than mTw, btw except for CPH games (which was so close it could've went both ways) when did FX beat mTw? but anyway, i think that FX, mTw and Na'Vi are quite even, SK and Fnatic i won't make any statement about since they're so new.

MTW is awesome. But they are now paying the price for getting ARCADION. He was fairly good before he was in mtw... but right now he is pathetic. They should have gotten friis, karrigan or even stick with sunde... The major problem is that ave doesn't want to call anymore :S

Moddii, Kalle & Friis are all top quality in induvidual skill and can win rounds for their respective teams all by themselves. what the f are dreamhack doing? inviting noob teams and only leaving two BYOC spots for the main tournament? there will be like two teams at least from the BYOC who wont make it to the groupstage who are a lot better than half of the teams invited. GJ!!!!!!!!! jesus christ, and why only make it two groups instead of more groups with more invited teams and more BYOC teams. so stupid, a bunch of apes running the event these days? :-) they're robbing the cs fans of an event that potentially could've been great, but will be shitty until the semis basically.

that's just the thing, there's not much to be enjoyed when they plan it like this. i wont be watching the event except perhaps the semis and/or the final. but yeah, it's clearly visible that they're putting ALL of their efforts into the starcraft 2 tournament. ridiculous when most of the people going to DH are actually there to play cs. not saying that they shouldnt focus on sc2, because they should, but that doesnt mean they can't make the cs tournament better than this.

they have invited bad teams and forced better teams go through BYOC which ultimately teams that are better than for instance KaoS will be knocked out before even reaching the main tournament, simply because of they are only offering two spots in the main tournament from the BYOC qualifier.

burning? they're in eSahara now You have two things to take into account. The first one is that the prize money ain't big enough to attract teams like TyLoo or FG imo, I don't even understand why playart go there as it will cost them more than they could win. The second one is that this is not exactly the best period to organize a cs tournament, many players are preparing exams right now, or prefer going on vacation instead of playing. I don't think many teams wanted to attend

I don't understand people who always want to see the same teams in each event. Counter-strike scene is not only composed by 7 teams. If Events only invit the top7, than other teams will lose their motivation to the game and stop playing cs because nobody cares about them. Imo, it's a bad decision to limit the teams variety at lan and online. The more teams participate, the longer will be Cs life. So gogogo playart, kaos, millenium and x6tence ! Show us that cs is not only directed by few top teams ( and imo "top" only because of money and many participation in lan events)

when the matches are about to start the ip's to the hltvs will be posted under "hot matches", if you click the match you want to watch. then just connect via the console: write "connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx", the x being the numbers in the ip.

mtw wont beat navi with arcadion in the team, he might be a very good IGL but he isnt up to par interms of fragging capabilities, against Na'Vi u need something special, not only good tactics but mad fragging capabilities from the whole team which I cant see it happening.

Also like everyone wanted arcadion in mTw before he joined, because he is good. In full-gaming he was also fragging a lot.

If you compare the arcadion of fg with the mtw's arcadion, they're like the complete opposite. If arcadion started doing what he was added for, mtw could actually win events. And arcadion has nothing to do with their top 3 placings, it has been trace, minet, zonic and quite often even ave who have been doing damage, arcadion is just... meh Anyways, if arc doesn't start doing his thing, then I see no reason why he should stay in the team, when they could be better off with ave calling and another madfragger in the team.

the thing is when FG played they had basically only mTw to care about, now arcadion has analyze (which he is doing a lot, possibly the most of any IGL in the world): Fnatic, FX, Na'Vi, SK, (as a main priority) and depending on the groups of a tournament, Lions, ESC, TCM, M5, Mouz, EG and FX. That's gives him a way bigger tactical duty, and surely his own perfomance will fall.
