SK Gaming have been crowned champions of DreamHack Summer 2011 with their 2:0 victory over mTw in the Grand Final.

Starting the final encounter on de_inferno as Terrorist, SK Gaming got off to the better start, taking the three opening rounds. However, mTw retaliated right after and tied the two sides up.

mTw eventually gained a three-round lead, putting the score to 7-4, with Danny "zonic" Sørensen setting SK Gaming back as he took down three opponents while defending the bombsite.

The Danish team continued by maintaining the lead, but gave SK Gaming the opportunity to get a hold of two additional rounds before the first half-time was closed down to 9-6.

Switching sides, SK Gaming opened up the first round by blitzing several mTw players, but Martin "trace" Heldt stopped them in their way by taking down three of the runners.

While mTw were able to snatch three rounds, SK Gaming turned the game around for their advantage by sealing six straight rounds, once again tied up with their challengers.

SK Gaming kept playing in the impressive manner they did and took one round after another, something which mTw could not withstand, and ultimately sealed the first map at 16-12.

Moving on to the next map, de_train, SK Gaming once again started out on the brighter side, claiming the five first rounds as their own, trashing the Danes in mTw.

During the remaining time, mTw got a hold of two rounds, but neither did them any favors, as SK Gaming continued outplaying them in style, sealing the first half-time at 13-2.

Swapping sides, mTw initiated in the second half-time by taking out the three opening rounds and followed them up with another four, now having secured a total of nine rounds.

SK Gaming eventually moved up to match point, while mTw were turning heads as they secured rounds continuously. However, SK Gaming were able to seal the victory at 16-14.

how are FX up there? WHY? Cause they won one event against SK that didn't look nearly as strong as they do now, and cause they got into the final of IEM? Everyone knows the real final of IEM was the semi-final mTw vs Na'Vi... FX were outplayed by a much better team in the final and were never even close to Na'Vi so FX surely isn't in the top3 if you're not a fanboy and you're a bit realistic...

Don't be a child.Na`vi wasn't a lie.They rulled the scene 1 year and a half and they finished third at DH.That's not a fail.And don't call me a Na`vi fanboy.I am cheering for fnatic. And of course SK is one of the best. Mtw Na`vi Fx and Sk can beat each other.Depends on the day.

I would agree if you would say Na'Vi tends to win BO3 because certain maps favor them when markeloff is on fire with his awp, but their timing and clutch play is brilliant have to admit that eventhough I like other teams more and their players more

Oh, come on. They just played 1 bo3 and it was close. You can not make a definitive/conclusive statement about better teams by one bo3. Na'Vi, FX, SK, mTw are the 4 elites for now and there is very little separating them. Fnatic is out of the elites for now.

You`re right about fnatic.They can be at the same level as the other four.Judging by this weekend`s matches they are out of shape and clarity.They are underdogs also on the paper , but i`m sure they will do well.

I do agree with you, CS is much more than that. If you ask me, my favorite team (tactic-wise, chemestry-wise and so on) would be mTw. Skill and style don't always go together. I also said, NaVi players are effective and skilled, but that's not enough for me. Why can't I have my opinion?

I said "for now". They lost to M5 and didn't put up much fight to SK in too many maps. Same with Na'Vi. Which leads me to think that they are not on an elite level right now. Maybe they will, in a month or 2, but not right now.

O'please, just because of that 1 round in Inferno doesn't make him comparable to markeloff or Delpan. His movement is a rifle player movement. Awpers move in a certain way, if you did pay attention, you could see Delpan taking trace out 24/7 because of positiong.. That's just sad. Friis is needed.

If i recall correctly, they only dropped 1 map to Na'Vi in the entire campaign at dreamhack. Good performance by them, but no chance in hell that i'm ever supporting SK. No matter what squad they host.

Well just to make it clear. It was not SK who bought getright and forest, they wanted to switch to SK. Or well, they wanted to play with robban/allen. Otherwise players like pita, delpan could end up in SK the other way around. The only one guy they took from SK is delpan :)

6,715 - funny prize... when I'm comparing it with League of Legends prize(50 000 $) and people who are watching. In CS(when I was playing) there were 20 000 people watching FINAL, In LoL there are 120 000 people watching a group stage and 210 000 during semi-final. Final - I don't know, maybe less cuz it's monday and not everyone can just watch final at 00:00

Well Dreamhack CS is not the same as WCG and that LoL tournament on Dreamhack is the first LoL big tournament, it's the best so far, that's why they have that prize pool. About the stream, well, when you enter LoL there is a direct link to the stream, I can assure you that if there was a direct link to the stream when you open CS there would be really much more viewers.

Well dreamhack summer isnt the biggest tournament but it doesnt matter...it was alot of stream now also...really....and it also depends on wich teams that is in the final...if it would have been SK-FX it would have been alot more viewers because of all polish patriots.

This is so stupid. WCG 2010:3rd map(de_train),14-14,navi had dgl+famases and mTw managed to lose it. European Finals:20-19 in favor of mTw on 2nd map(1st one they've won) and Arcadion fails on the stairs at up-down.
