NoA Interviewed Before ESWC

The entirely Danish starting five in NoA have proved to be worthy of the tag. ESWC could be the final nail in the remaining critiques coffin.

Always chatful Zonic from the Danish super team NoA speaks about player changes and how to deal with a major event like ESWC.

NoA will attend ESWC on the behalf of the Danish CS 1.6 community. Why is that NoA continues to be the very best team in Denmark?

Because we have the best players, simple as that. Also I think the mental part of the players in Denmark isn't quite there, but it has become better in the past 6 months.

NoA went from a team consisting of Norwegians and Danes, whats the biggest difference from then and now and did you learn anything from that experience during the first few months?

Yeah i learned alot, I learned that you can get along with people outside Denmark, and that it isnt that difficult to play together ingame (Thinking about the languages) - So yeah I learned alot :)

You recently added Sunde to the team. Whats the biggest difference between Paddy and him?

Sunde is really motivated and ready to work for it. Paddy didn't have the commitment as we saw nessecary, and after some dicussions we decided to get some new blood.

Are you still certain you made the right call, changing a player?

Yeah no doubt about that, I mean Paddy helped them (from what we saw) at the Danish ESWC qualifier, and we still manage to beat them 16-6 so yeah I absolutely think it was the right choice

How do you intend to prepare the team for ESWC?

3 of us has exams and all that, but we will bootcamp for a week and hopefully that will be enough

What does it take to win an event like ESWC?

The mental part needs to be good, if you have that and really believe you can win the tournament you are on your way. And you also need to have a good communication and hit ze day! :)

Are there any particular trademarks to Danish CS and in that case how does it differ from other countries’ style of play?

Danish players really want to be offensive, and make it difficult for the opponent to play their own game, but it's very few who has success with that

Describe the feelings and motions running trough your mind during an event like ESWC?

I tried it with SK in 2005 where we finished 2nd, and it was one of the greatest experiences in my life. The feeling we had after we won the match against mousesports was incredible

Whats the 3 most important things you need in order to win an event like ESWC?

Motivation, Dedication, Skills!

Whats your goal for ESWC?

Top3 !

NoA won't win ESWC for sure... I don't think they are playing good enough to get the cup.. Maybe fnatic will win.. or mibr, that would be cool =)

NoA is good for sure, BUT honestly I don't think they'll win. Top 5 easily but even top 3 is hard. There's Fnatic, MiBR, N69 (who have won against NoA on LAN like past 5 times?), just to mention a few. Of course they CAN place top 3, but I think that's going to be hard, and winning HAAARDER. GL HF nonetheless, NoA has always been one of my fav teams alongside N69, Mouz & fnatic :)
