Australian lineup changes

The Australian scene has undergone heavy changes in the past few weeks with both Archaic and Immunity announcing new lineups. With these changes it seems inevitable MINDFREAK will also go under changes in the near future or the release of their CS Division.

Last week news broke that Mark "deStiny" Kagan had left Immunity to join up with Archaic. The Archaic roster features all players who have all represented Immunity at one stage or another. While this exact lineup hasn't played together before, all of these players have played in different combinations and proven to be very sucessful in the past representing Australia's best organizations.

The Archaic.Australia roster is now confirmed as:

Miles "rizE" O'Connor
Mark "deStiny" Kagan
Mike "apoc" Aliferis
Rory "rBKE" Burke
Otis "pupajon" Duncan

Immunity did not take long to fill in the gap left by Kagan. They totally revamped their roster bringing in former MINDFREAK players Mark "kram" Pearce and Jess "ssar" Somsiri to join the Immunity stalwarts Gareth "gazR" Lynn and Yaman "Yam" Ergenekon.

To complete the lineup Immunity have brought back Ben "benoR" O'Reilly from retirement. Both Pearce and O'Reilly have not played with Immunity since 2009, where Immunity showed some promising international success at WCG 2008 and KODE5 2009, defeating the likes of Dignitas, Vatas Locos and Defining Stars and taking maps off Power Gaming and Alternate.

The Immunity lineup now features:

Gareth "gazR" Lynn
Yaman "Yam" Ergenekon
Mark "kram" Pearce
Ben "benoR" O'Reilly
Jess "ssar" Somsiri

The next event where these two teams will clash is WCG Australia finals which is scheduled to take place in September / October. Both teams will also be on the lookout for the IEM6 Global Challenge Guangzhou and other invites to events in the Oceanic / Asian region.

Hahahaha sweet =) The Australian CS scene is not that big but they have alot of potantial of players but not enough sponsors :/

most of top teams have good sponsors, for example Immunity Intel, Steelseries, Antec, Gigabyte, BenQ, GEIL, Redbull. The main problem is the distance to travel (and expense) to get to the events.

back in 2006 I already spammed gamelux and gotfrag that gazR would become the best aus player and do international damage, 2 or 3 years later he was IGL for the #1 aus team and played well at WCG (they all did :P) , and he ahs been on the best Aus team ever since ^^
