Four teams left in Upper-bracket

The first round of the Upper-bracket has just finished with Frag eXecutors, Natus Vincere, SK and mTw advancing to the Upper-bracket semi-final which will be played tomorrow on de_forge.

The first match saw Frag eXecutors ease past TyLoo 16-8. Fx will now meet Natus Vincere who disposed of mousesports in their quarter-final clash 16-12 on de_nuke. On the other side of the bracket, SK faced fnatic once again, which seems to be a tournament tradition lately.

SK got off to a good start jumping out to a 12-3 lead at the half. fnatic showed their terrorist side has come along way and managed to take seven rounds before SK finally closed it out 16-10. Interesting to note that two of the four rounds SK won as counter-terrorists were on save rounds. In the last match, mTw knocked down the final Korean team project_kr from the Upper-bracket. With this win, mTw will now meet the in form SK Gaming.

Both semi-finals are scheduled to start at 06:30 on de_forge. However, if tomorrow is anything like today, expect that the matches could go live earlier depending on how long the previous matches go for.

ofcourse it's great to finally see some new maps in the pool which bring about at least some variety. But morons will still whine "NaVi lost just cause of de_forge.. doesn't count" But hell yeah it counts. And for me personally, I look forward to de_forge matches the most, since there's still a lot to discover about this map from a tactial point of view. :)

It is a remake of de_cbble, but it is not as CT-dominant as it was before. T has many more opportunities now.

Well forge is a remake of the old cbbl and i kinda like the change due the old cbbl was way to ct sided but just my opinion

I've played forge but I just don't like the map at all. Aztec was my favorite one though of the "old school" maps. :)

maybe some maps were good but cbble is too random, ct side is overpowered and u can easily get so many rounds there in example 13:2 to the half, then changing sides and if the winning team just win pistol or will have some luck in any round they can win before the second will get 13rounds streak etc.
