Portuguese team k1ck have announced the removal of Joaquim "axoN" Pinto from their ranks, bringing in Gonçalo "spekz" Monteiro for DreamHack South Europe this weekend in Valencia, Spain.

Timing could not be worse for k1ck, as they ahead of the weekend's challenge in Valencia, announced the removal of Joaquim "axoN" Pinto.

Pinto has been with k1ck since the summer of 2009, where he filled in for Christopher "mUttt" Fernandes, who wasn't able to attend WCG with the team, due to the tournament's age restriction rule.

On k1ck's website it is stated that "there are certain attitudes that must not go unpunished" as they announced the removal of Pinto.

axoN removed from k1ck's ranks

The Portuguese team will attend DreamHack South Europe this weekend and in order to compete, the team has called in Gonçalo "spekz" Monteiro.

For DreamHack South Europe k1ck will play with:

Helder "coachi" Sancho
João "ehz" Monteiro
Rui "SHOUW" Reis
Ricardo "fox" Pacheco
Gonçalo "spekz" Monteiro

k1ck will this weekend be looking to bag the grand prize at DreamHack South Europe, which is a paid trip to DreamHack Winter's MSI BEAT IT tournament. You will be able to follow k1ck's campaign right here on HLTV.org, starting Friday with the group stage.
