Frag eXecutors win SEC 2011

Frag eXecutors have won SEC 2011 with two 16-11 map wins over Natus Vincere in the final.

The Polish team, who are still officially not out of Frag eXecutors organization, met with Natus Vincere in the final of Samsung Euro Championship 2011 in Warsaw in front of a huge home crowd.

The match was expected to be very close and interesting, and the beginning of it affirmed those expectations. The Poles started on the CT side of de_train and after losing the pistol round they consolidated and took a 7-4 lead. Their Ukrainian opponents didn't give up and they then took 4 rounds in a row to win the harder side 8-7, which made them the favorites to win the first map.

However, Frag eXecutors did everything right to overcome Natus Vincere after that, starting with an excellent pistol round win, followed by winning the first buy round which eventually brought them to a 12-8 lead. Na`Vi then finally won a round, but the Poles reset their money by winning the next one, which paved way to a 15-9 lead. Three rounds later everything was settled as Frag eXecutors won de_train 16-11.

The second map was de_dust2, where this time Natus Vincere started on the favored side, as Terrorists. They won the pistol round, but then the following three rounds were exchanged between the teams, making it a 2-2 score.

At that moment it seemed that Frag eXecutors changed to a higher gear carried by the support from their fans. They started playing extremely aggressive on their CT-side and everything seemed to work for the Poles which enabled them a 12-3 lead at the half.

Despite of making a very good attempt at a comeback by getting to a 13-10 score in the second half, Natus Vincere were unable to break the Poles, and the match and the championship went to Frag eXecutors after another 16-11 victory.

With this victory, the Polish squad earned $15,000, while Natus Vincere won $10,000.

In the third place match, WinFakt overcame the other home squad Fear Factory 2-0, 16-9 on de_train and 16-12 on de_nuke, to win $5,000.
