CS:GO beta launch postponed

The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive developing team has announced that the closed beta has been postponed, missing the scheduled October launch.

October was set to be the month where the closed beta would kick in for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Beta keys have been handed out at several exhibitions across the world, but key holders are to wait a little longer to make use of their keys.

The CS:GO developing team today via their twitter account announced that they are going to miss the October launch, incorporating the feedback gathered from the pros has taken longer than expected.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive key, we will be handing out keys to you guys at a later stage

A few hours after the announcement, another tweet followed. The tweet stated that the team today works on building the final version of the public beta, the closed beta will be a subset of the game.

The developing team furthermore reminds beta key holders that they should make sure to register their keys. If you hold a beta key, then you will be able to register it via the Games tab in Steam, by clicking the "Activate a Product on Steam" option.

Valve invited sAuce players to discuss CS:GO (few months ago) and the game turned out to be shit. Now Valve realized the pro 1.6 players are the ones to consult when it comes to competitive counter-strike, and because the pro 1.6 players said CS:GO was bad / broken just like source, Valve delayed the game. Well, it's quite obvious as the feedback from the CSS players was taken back in august so they had plenty of time of implementing those changes. And just as Valve was talking about an early october release date they finally got 1.6 feedback and suddenly the beta was delayed. The only people they could refer to at this point in time would be the 1.6ers.

I'm saying the transition from 1.5 to 1.6 isn't as big as a transition from 1.6 to GO would be. I will never play any other competitive FPS-game than 1.6, unless it is significantly better. Thus far, I haven't seen a game(FPS) half as good as 1.6. So adapting will be hard for me, sorry, I'll just gtfo of here :S

CS is old, the sponsors follow the big games and for now it's Starcraft 2 and LoL, you have the chance now to make this the best cs ever. I'm a die hard 1.6 cs player myself, but for the future to move on we need a new game, fresh community (bigger).. New capital (money,sponsors to invest in) They don't want to invest in some old game where they could've invested in newer games bigger like Starcraft 2 and LoL. Rome wasn't built in one day, and it might take some months depending on feedback they get before we get the game as we want it to be!
