xfunction Fraglider Cup announced

A new tournament has been announced today as xfunction Fraglider CUP by CJM will take place on May 26-27 in Porto, Portugal.

The event is expected to feature all of Portugal's top teams as well as a couple of international teams that are expected to show up in Matosinhos, Porto at the end of May.

So far only four teams have been invited, but if you're interested in attending the event, you can contact the organizers at [email protected] to try to obtain one of the sixteen spots at the event. However, should more teams show interest, the maximum amount of teams may be increased to 20, or 24.

Exact prize distribution is yet to be announced, but prize pool will be over 5,000€ which is promised to be paid out in cash at the end of the event.

I remember a tournament a few years ago with Alternate and x6tence in it. And SK played here aswell, showoff match I think.

lol fraglider when organized ESWC 2009 stole 4.000€ from that event. There was more than 20 teams qualified for the final that paid 50€ each and attend to qualifiers and there was no final indeed. Fraglider had promissed that would be a final event to give the prizes (because ESWC 2009 global final was canceled), but no event until today. My team was one of the qualified teams. And now they announced this event? Shame on you, first you have to make the event that you promissed in 2009 and give the prizes that we deserve. Fail company, sad

1. Fraglider organized ESWC 2009 - Correct 2. The entry fee was indeed 50€, which was refunded as pre-paid card to use at MediaMarket with the same value 3. Since ESWC bankrupted, both ESWC and MediaMarket had no interest in doing a national finals 4. No money was taken by Fraglider The only problem about this, was that Fraglider never made a press release about this subject, leaving some people alienated of what had been done by Fraglider, like your case.
