DreamHack Summer info released

DreamHack Summer 2012 has released more information for the event taking place on June 16-18 in Jönköping, Sweden.

As announced previously, this year's DreamHack Summer event will only feature an eight team Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament where six of the teams were invited for the tournament while the last two spots will be filled via the BYOC qualifier on site.

Notable teams signed up for the BYOC qualifier:

Brasil Gaming	(bit, btt, FalleN, fnx, shemp)
zNation	(Aerodynamic, hondroz, liTTle, redman, wAke)
Coldfrag	(pawnile, pop, seazon, spozy, Zyppe)
a2g	(dennis, hyvlarn, olofm, pronax, rogga)
Virtus.pro	(evil, hooch, kucher, LeX, xaoc)
icsu	(unknown)

Members of Anexis have also previously expressed their willingness to attend the event should their schedules permit it. The only notable team missing is eSrael who won't be attending the qualifier and were not on the invited teams list:

The BYOC qualifier will take place on Saturday June 16 with matches running from 17:00 to 00:00 . Since the top two teams will qualify for the main tournament, the grand final will not be played out.

DreamHack Summer 2012 main tournament is set to take place on June 17-18 and the schedule for it has also been announced.

As you may notice, the event will start with two groups of four teams with top two from each advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs will be played out in a best-of-three, single elimination bracket.

The map rotation features the standard seven maps de_dust2, de_forge, de_inferno, de_mirage, de_nuke, de_train and de_tuscan. Maps are selected using the veto process.

Brasil is practicing already, at Inferno Online. already played against ESC, NaVi, WinFakt and fnatic. if they fail to qualify, RIP brazilian cs - imo. oh, and lurppis, waiting for you predictions :)
