Players vs. Organization!

Once again players and organizations are throwing mud at each other.

MoDs team was supposed to attend Gamegune in a few days, but unfortunately for the gamers, the organization have had some problems getting the trip sorted. This has now resulted in a nasty break up worthy of a soap opera.

We gathered states from both parties.

Tombstone, owner of MoD states:

Today is a sad day, our highly redeemed cs 1.6 team leaves due to we couldn’t get them to Gamegune in Bilbao. I am the first to understand their disappointment since they have been so highly motivated for this, and feel sad on their behalves. They feel they haven’t gotten anything from the orga in these 3 months, and that they could just as well have done this in their old clan Mirror.

While we on our side must say, not even 4 weeks in, their team split up. I didn’t want to promise them anything before we were into August 07, feeling the team needed some time to get team play together again.

I told them I considered the team split-up a contract breaker and that from my side things was off, but that they might prove themselves before that time. And I might reconsider, but that it was unlikely.

I got told I had to believe in them and that I should go on with things even though they only were 4 players, 1 month after signing.

They've been a complete team for just over a month (Since June) since they joined our organization, so my feelings that they weren’t getting anything from us is a bit different from theirs I guess. By getting anything, I guess means LANs. Since VT, game-servers, and Steel Series sponsoring came in place while they were in MoD and not in Mirror.

After they pushed hard to go to Bilbao, putting it as an ultimatum, and I saw the possibility to get them there, I did regretfully say yes to this last week. That gave me a very short time to deal with this, but when I said yes - everything was set for it. I still felt such a big LAN was too early and told I that to them.

If they didn’t achieve a top position making money back to me, since no sponsors was going into this. There would be consequences for them. But as they said, it would be a great experience for them.

Unfortunately I've been dealt a foul hand which did not only jeopardize their trip to Bilbao, but also my own summer vacation.

On our part we think this is sad, but wishes them good luck with their gaming further on.

Former active teams who have played actively with us know we have delivered to them, so that we still fulfill our commitments are obvious, even though things did go wrong in this case.

A rock solid case. Spoiled gamers! Or is there a bit more to it?

Sephcat, spokes person for the gamers, states:

It’s with a lot of sadness I'm making this announcement. Last week Global Gaming and their players parted ways due to an incompetent organization, today we announce our departure from MoD-eSports for somewhat the same reasons.

For about 3 months ago, the team then known as Mirror-Gaming signed a deal with MoD-eSports, a deal we then, were very happy with. But in the 3 months passed by, we have received nothing from the organization that we didnt have in Mirror. I then 4 weeks ago gave the owner of MoD-eSports an ultimatum, either we attend the upcomming event, GameGune in Bilbao Spain, or we would reconsider our contracts, the owner agreed to this.
Then late last night I was informed that our trip to spain was cancelled due to a tax problem that suddenly occured thursday night.

Basically i was left with 5 guys who had taken the time off from work, friends and really had been looking forward to this event, even I had taken the time off and found the finances to go with the guys, and i had to break this very sad news to them 3 days before the event. It leaves with me with the absolute minimum of time to prepare anything myself and also with such high ticketprices that makes it impossible to pay ourself.

The guys who at this moment sitting bootcamp at Cautions place, were of course very sad when i informed them about the news, but i must say, they remained very professional and focused on our common future goal.

We talked back and forth and we have agreed that we from this day on re-opens Mirror-Gaming, and I will do my very best to support the guys and try to get the neccesary finances to get them to the LAN's they want to.

As a closure, i would like to say thanks to all the people who have supported us and to the 2 Source and DOD teams in MoD, thank you for the time and last, i would like to thanks SteelSeries og DSRack for keep supporting us. Their support is very important for us, when we now have to build an entire new foundation.

Pick your side!

To bad for the guys.. MoD made a big mistake. Even though the players maybe wanted a bit too much, it doesnt give MoD the right to promise something and then dont deliver it. As i know Sephcat is standing with a nunrefundable ticket to spain, that he bought from his own money.. This is just not plain companionship from MoD.. Dont promise something and then not doing what they said they would.. Definitely on Mirror's side!

How are they players screwing the orga.? It'd say it's the same story as always: The organization screwing the players.
