DH Valencia's games unknown

Yesterday we posted news about DreamHack Valencia featuring a Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament that would act as a qualifier for DreamHack Winter. According to their staff, that information was outdated.

In an email HLTV.org received from DreamHack Valencia's administration, they emphasized on the fact that despite of the information being available on their website, it wasn't official because it was not in a news post.

They also mentioned that while they do not know if Counter-Strike 1.6 or even Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be included, they wanted to set the record straight so an event that might or might not feature CS 1.6 does not affect anyone's plans.

Will Counter-Strike 1.6 return to DreamHack's next events?

It is important to note that this does not however mean they will not host a tournament in our beloved game, it simply means the game titles have not been decided yet.

Furthermore DreamHack Valencia stated that once they know what games their event will feature the news will be published on their website and if Counter-Strike 1.6 is included, you can of course read about it right here at HLTV.org.

to me it sounds like they're dumping cs

They were talking about the whole of the CS Franchise, not just 1.6. And even then.... how many of that 25 mill are still playing the game?

I've been playing CS and Quake for ages, both are dieing. I've been forced to work with SC2 and LoL for years now. I've accepted it and moved on, like any rational human does. Get over it.

Move on to which FPS title? Name one which is as good as CS 1.6? Most of us guys here do not play any MOBA games or are not that passionate about it. Psychology of most HLTVorg users here is simple bring a game which is worth as CS1.6, they will have no problem in shifting or focusing towards it till then most of us here will wait for such game to come and play 1.6 for fun. I feel bad for you that you are forced to work with SC2 and LoL (you work in esports, you have sponsors pressure,we don't have any) WE WILL PLAY THE GAME WE LIKE NOT SOME SHIT :)
