Free Agents win FireCore 4

British mixteam Free Agents have topped Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund's ColdGame 2-1 (15-19 de_dust2, 16-10 de_tuscan, 16-3 de_nuke) to win FireCore 4 and $2,170.

Free Agents had an easy way throughout the tournament this time as they escaped through the group stage and the bracket play mostly untested, with French iGamerz being their only real challenge in the semi-finals.

Alesund's ColdGame was slightly more battle tested by the time they reached the finals, having lost a map against ohyea before one their opponents had to get taken to a hospital by an ambulance during the deciding map, and having had a relatively even semi-final against UKLA as well.

GeT_RiGhT, FYRR73 & co were unable to win in Manchester

The British side proved superior in the opening half by winning eleven rounds as counter-terrorists on de_dust2 in the grand finals. Despite of an early lead, ColdGame would not surrender as they fought back from a 10-14 deficit to force a map point at 15-14 before winning the map 19-15 in overtime.

ColdGame's routine would not prevail after the comeback win, as Free Agents converted a 5-1 early lead into a 8-7 half. They would not let this map slip away though, as strong play by Christian "ARCH1EB" Pedersen secured them a 16-10 win on de_tuscan.

It all came down to de_nuke where ColdGame won the opening pistol round as counter-terrorists. That was just about all they would win though, as Free Agents showed a dominating performance on the deciding map, winning almost uncontested with a 16-3 score.

Third place decider saw French iGamerz take on UKLA. First map de_dust2 finished 12-16 in the Brits' favor, but iGamerz secured a convincing 16-5 win on de_tuscan and then won the match with a 19-17 overtime win on de_nuke.

Lex went to hospital before asus final game and he was replaced by Adren, don't sure but it was like in 2009 year, maybe asus summer 2009, they were playing against tp.uSport :)

It was nothing to do with drugs. He didn't pass out on the toilet either.. He suddenly said in the middle of a round that he is going to the toilet and we should pause, when he wasn't back after 2 minutes or so we went looking for him and found him locked in a toilet unconscious. I guess it's up to him if he wants to say what happened, but needless to say our lan was over right there anyway. Thankfully it seemed like he will be fine when we spoke to the doctor in the hospital which is the most important thing.

Not even a year with those players( 2 weeks with onscreen) but they do not pracc or have any set tactics which is why people say they are a mix. They just play for fun and are good enough to beat good people if they play well:)

We've been a "team" for about a year, and by a team I mean we enter online tournaments and UK LANs together without practicing at all. The only game we had played before this LAN with onscreen was the game vs beasts. There's no financial backing in the UK anymore and hasn't been for a few years and we all work / go to Uni so there's not really enough time/reason for us to practice properly :)

Keiz play really really well in this tournament , He 've been a goodplayer for a long time both online and LAN . I remembered that he played with LIONS in one tournament still wonder why he is out , was he kicked or he left ??

Waiting a release of admins about the organization. Maybe you didn't heard about it but this event was a big joke. Admins authorized their own team to replace 2 players before a match (to be sure to win) and the cash prize was not paid because the guy has gone to the casino play poker with it. More information will coming in the next days.
