WCG Sweden - Last two teams found

Lots of qualifiers has taken place this weekend. Now its time to find out who the remaining two spots at the Swedish WCG finals will be filled by.

The last chance to get a spot at the Swedish WCG finals was this weekend. For the second weekend in a row, SK-Gaming would try to qualify for the finals. Did they, or did they yet again fail to deliver? We will get back to that later.

First of the two semifinals consisted of fnatic and defining stars. fnatic just won GameGune, and are in most eyes the big favorite to win in Sweden. The two teams were to fight for the spot, and the match was played best of three maps.

fnatic did not show any mercy on de_train, defining stars simply did not win any of those easy rounds, they just kept losing them. On de_nuke it was a bit different. defining stars were able to take the match into overtime, but thats where their fairytale ends. fnatic won the overtime 4:1, and are now ready for the Swedish WCG finals.

The last participant for the finals should be found in the match between SK-Gaming and Cold As Ice. Cold As Ice did beat SK-Gaming one time already in the groupplay. Could they do it again? Time to find out.

Once again Cold As Ice showed they are truly candidates for the spot. They didn't quite make it on de_inferno, even though they showed really nice play in a close match. But on de_dust2 they played their best, and locked it down, winning 16:14. The map where it all should end was de_train. Yet again Cold As Ice played well, and it was close all the way to the very last round. Cold As Ice ended up winning it, and will be going to the Swedish WCG finals. Once again SK-Gaming fails to qualify for the Swedish WCG finals - they will have to watch the finals from their homes, and not playing along for the prizes.

It's the end of the Swedish pre-qualifiers for this time. We will see following teams at the Swedish WCG finals:

I have been saying that for a longer period. They clearly lack Snjadan, both as their star, but also as their ingame leader.

Nah. I would leave striker - very solid player. SpawN needs to be sacked, that's for sure. Snajdan would be nice. P.S. Oh yeah - they really suck :)

Comon eidN you must agree they have been playing bad lately, SpawN is my favourit player and still I think there is something awefully wrong with the team at the moment! Even online the old SK would have pounded this team into the ground!

I don't know why but afair only SK complained about some cheaters. Once when NoA used the roof bug, which didn't affect the game at all, and now this. They play poorly, as for SK and they need changes - rooster ones or whatever.

Wait a minute, Begrip.ru is still there ;) But yeah, you are right Begrip.se by the end of August will no longer exist. I wonder though have get and get_right been released from their contracts? I mean they still were part of Begrip until the end of this month.

the first 4 r ok but last is a hard disision because allen has played wery good maches lately, but still they need a avi player like robban... dont know:S
