PGS hits playoffs
The group stage in the CS 1.6 and CS:GO competitions has come to an end, with only four teams remaining in contention in both tournaments.
As expected, Natus Vincere and fnatic topped their respective groups, but the Ukrainians were made to work hard to defeat Anexis in their last game and even conceded one map to the Danish team.
The first map, de_dust2, went Na'Vi's way, with the Ukrainian team running out 16-12 winners, but on de_tuscan Anexis gave a really good account of themselves and forced the game to overtime before going on to win the map 19-16.
de_inferno, however, was a one-way street, as Na´Vi won the first half 11-4 as Terrorists and then the second half 5-1 to win the match.
After defeating place2play.ru on Thursday, fnatic knew they were already through, but they still pulled off a convincing performance against exotic to beat the locals 16-3 on de_nuke and 16-9 on de_dust2.

The CS:GO group stage, on the other hand, was filled with surprises, as Steelshock Gaming defeated FM Sapphire!, who would go on to hold k1ck to a draw on de_inferno_se.
The winners of the Portuguese EMS qualifier were still able to top the group stage, which used a round-robin mode, and assured the top seed on their way to the playoffs.
