karrigan: "I expected an easy game"
With fnatic through to the PGS final after defeating Anexis 2-0, we interviewed Finn "karrigan" Andersen to know what he thought of the match against his fellow countrymen.
The Swedish/Danish mix has booked the first place in the PGS final following a convincing display against Anexis, who had caused Natus Vincere quite some trouble during the last group match.
fnatic are now waiting for the result of the other match, which will pit Na´Vi against place2play.ru, to know who they will face in the final - scheduled for Sunday at 17:00 .
In this interview, Andersen discusses his team's victory against Anexis, the prospect of meeting Na´Vi in the final once again, and also Jonas "zanoj" Velling's comments about the way fnatic are playing.
Did you expect a more difficult game against Anexis, considering the way they played against Na´Vi yesterday?
I know that we have the experience that Anexis' new player [raalz] does not have, so I expected kinda of an easy game actually, we should have won by a bigger margin, I think, but they played really well. I expected to win by a big margin after I saw the maps, de_dust2, de_tuscan and the third map was de_train. 2:0 and an easy win.
You have not yet lost a single map this tournament. Do you think you are the favourites to win this tournament?
If you look at the past results against Na´Vi in finals, and I mean that I think we will meet Na´Vi in the final, we have won three times in a row, so I think it is going to be a good match. We have a new player and still some problems to fix for tomorrow’s game. I think we can beat Na´Vi, but it is going to be a tough match.

I interviewed zanoj yesterday, and he said that fnatic are not as strong as they used to be and are not using their players to their full potential. What do you have to say about this?
I read the interview and I was kind of surprised that he said that, I think he was only talking about results in practice matches, but you should never really talk about that. If you look at the way we have used our players in the last couple of events, I would say we are the best team in the world, so I do not know how we could have used our powers in a better way. I have changed my role to ingame leader, and it seems to be going well, since we have not lost a single match (in 1.6) in three-and-a-half months, so we are using all the potential we have.
One of the issues raised by 1.6 teams is that it has been very hard to find teams to practice against these days. How did you prepare for this tournament?
We actually did not play against Na´Vi or Virtus. We played sometimes against Anexis, but then we found out that we could meet them in the play-offs. We played against some mix teams and also iNation, I think. It was not a very good preparation.
In one week, your team will attend DH Bucharest. How you will prepare for this event? Do you think you are favourites to win it?
I have some studying to do, and one of us has some family issues, so I think we will just play individually because it is hard to find teams to practice against, but maybe we will practice for a day or two. Looking at the teams that will be there, I would say we are favourites, but Anexis should also be considered a top contender, I expect them to reach the final.
