hiGhrollers to Thor Open

Swedish hiGhrollers have won the Thor Open #5 qualifier with a 2-0 victory over xaxixo, and made their way to the final event taking place in Stockholm on December 8.

After taking part in the previous qualifiers and placings 5-8th at the first two and 3-4th in the third one while also participating in a wide array of other online tournaments, the Swedes of hiGhrollers have finally managed to qualify for Thor Open.

This time they managed to avoid what many would consider the toughest opposition in the qualifier, as the likes of mTw, mousesports.uk, Virtus.pro and many others were eliminated by their competition.

On their way to the first place finish, the squad tackled aGiLiTy, SUPEREBIN, ferrid, CPLAY, ICSU and finally fellow Swedes xaxixo in the grand finals, which were now played using best-of-three format.

Following five teams have so far qualifier for Thor Open, while three more qualifiers are set to take place, each on Saturday, on November 11, 18 and 25.

With just three qualifiers and spots left for the 130,000SEK (~$19,400) tournament taking place on December 8-9 in Stockholm, the competition should ramp up even more in the weeks leading up to DreamHack with teams like NiP likely still looking to qualify.
