DreamHack Winter 2012 groups

DreamHack has announced the groups for their $45,000 CS:GO tournament at the Winter event taking place on November 22-24.

Teams were first divided into four seeding pools before being randomly drawn to any of the four groups. Groups A and B will take place on Thursday together with the on-site BYOC qualifier, which will grant two spots for the main tournament.

Well, fnatic and ESC have less hours than NiP, so they are already in disadvantage. None of them are rivals for NiP.

Its a new game, NiP (the players) had been since one of two months before SK Gaming disbanded playing it while the polish and the fnatic team have just 'switch' recently. If the hours don't count, I don't know what else will xD.

and prolly 90% of sourcers did switch to CS:GO aswell! ps. dont underestimate Fnatic, in a Polish interview before last 1.6 cup with ESC in (i dont remember the name of the cup, sorry) Neo said that they got no one to practice against, mainly few russians teams because 'even fnatic started practicing cs:go'. GL ESC & Fnatic!

Yeah and the 3 best? 1.6ers right. The 1.6 players have been pretty anti csgo while every saucer team switched... you will see changes on that now when navi and fnatic is comming.

Everyone is pretty much "from 1.6" in one way, the all played 1.6 for quite some time, but played Source from 07 and out, same goes for stingeR (he played for MYM in 1.6, but switched to Source in ~'09)

Group A looks really interesting, and I would love to see how well CPH Wolves fair in this tournament. According to online they've beaten Anexis at least twice and Anexis has been doing well regardless of going out during group stage last tournament. I expect some surprises! :)

Group A what the heck? How? Now I'm sure that we will see an another NiP-VG final.. Brackets would be more interesting and exciting if all of the teams of group A would hold an own group.. (maybe just for the British mouz not, I mean an each group for fnatic, ESC, VG, NiP) Good luck fnatic, I hope they will reach the 2nd place behind NiP.

Btw why does every one of you think fnatic will fail?? NiP has 4 raw aiming talents and they are doing so good, mainly based on friberg, xizt, forest and gtr hitting their shots. Fnatic has 5 raw aimers and some good gamesense aswell. We are just gonna have to see if they've done their "homework" properly. =D Gonna be really interesting imo, cant wait to check those matches !!

Cmon, they just started GO.. as a fan of fnatic, I'm not sure they will manage out of this group.. NiP is quasi unbeatable atm, ESC did big steps forward after ESWC. This is an another game. But on the next big event they will be good for sure. Of course there is a "but they are the best 1.6 team in 2012"(not fanboyism, don't misunderstand me, this is a fact), but it's still an another game, and it's new for them.

Don't think they've had the time to get used to recoil. Not only that but the different play style required in go. Unless they bring on a source player to gain a different perspective of tactics they won't be ready for DH.

Even though they are still somewhat new the teams have had time o adjust and they still have some time to improve... Especially with this update (everyone will have to adjust to new Molotov.. Nip, VG specifically) top a are all great teams I can definitely see NIP taking a loss in that group. They will still go through... But I'm sure this would not be there #1 choice of group.

CS 1.6 icon is set as that is the content that his channel is supposed to stream. Still content is not automatically monitored and if f.e. Neo decides to stream LoL for a while his stream will still feature the CS 1.6 icon or the one it features by default.

NIP/ESC Wolves/Curse VeryGames/3DMAX Dynamic/Anexis Group A will be easy for NIP. ESC are not yet that good in GO and Fnatic will most likely be pretty bad as they just recently started playing GO. Waste of an invite IMO.
