NiP devastates ESC in Thor Open

NiP has devastated the Polish ESC Gaming squad with a 16-2 win on de_mirage_csgo in Thor Open #6, showing they are still heaps ahead of CS 1.6's best team in 2011.

ESC won the knife round to start as counter-terrorists, but it was NiP who wound up winning the first rounds as a well executed attack to bombsite A with two after plant kills from Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund secured them the round.

The two save rounds were uneventful as NiP attacked each bombsite once, without any real casualties or danger of losing the round. Fourth round saw NiP run the 2011 SK's usual A hit with Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg flanking B tunnels and cleaning up the last kills.

At 0-5 ESC Gaming finally won a round thanks to Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski's two AWP kills. The Swedes successfully won the following round though, and on ESC's force buy Richard "Xizt" Landström clutched a one-on-two to further extend their lead.

GeT_RiGhT got the better of Loord & co this time around

NiP switched their attack to bombsite B on the tenth round, as they pushed their terrorist side lead to 9-1. ESC was forced to save yet again, but were then able to take out NiP on round twelve.

Lindberg's two AK47 frags in A on the following round put his team up 11-2, and after a save round by ESC NiP attacked B once more to make it 13-2 with Alesund leading the way with a 20/8 score.

Filip "NEO" Kubski's two entry frags to make it a five-on-three made little difference on the second half's pistol round, as no other Pole managed to score a kill with Adam "friberg" Friberg chiming in with two important kills of his own.

ESC saved to give NiP match point, but even Kubski's entry frag was too little too late, as the Polish side couldn't convert a five-on-four after plant into a win, losing the round and the match 2-16.

+1 because i cant even watch this games highlight videos, this game looks like a bad joke or its meant only for lil kids.. seriously, watching all those highlights from cs:go makes me laugh.. when you see some nice action from 1.6, you can see the "pro" factor in it, but in cs:go everything looks like a shitty or lucky gaming action from some kids @ elementary skool.. its a shame, that this game is replacing 1.6 on every major "pro" event and still looks like crap. just my opinion

I can understand why you might argue that the poles time is over, however Na'Vi is only a 2 year old team, F0rest has been on the top for longer than they have, so has GeT-RighT, so if their time is over then so are those guys'.

na`vi has been THE most dedicated team in modern cs history, and they have the most dominant awper in cs's history (who judging by streams is already very good at cs:go). i don't see any reason why they would not succeed, if they can enjoy the game at all.

ESC are strong as well already, judging by how they beat Hawks and matched strides with Copenhagen Wolves. It's just...you know their style. They've always been on and off, especially online. Not to mention I have a theory that for whatever reason comebacks are more possibly in GO than 1.6 so that plays to ESC's weakness of holding big advantages. I expect big things from them at DH, even against NiP.

Out of joke: They need practice and more practice, seems NiP is a couple steps forward (Well i guess more than a couple) .. But gl to ESC in future, hope they don't give up and start to do some damage ..

They look really far behind the current top CS:GO teams. Plus all 5 of them are from 1.6 so they have to get used to the source environment all by themselves unlike GTR, f0rest and Xizt who got help from the 2 sourcers. But as they have already defeated a couple good teams in ESWC, lets see what they can do in DH. But looking into the fact that fnatic brought in a Saucer and mouz is also a decent team, i guess its a tough road ahead for ESC in DH too. Hope to see some good action in the upcoming LAN.

vg esc 16-2 nip esc 16-2 is it really impossible that wrtt beat esc 16-0 when esc never practiced mill and werent allowed to use molotovs? and a more apt comparison would be birmingham and san marino

I see great progress on ESC. 2 rounds vs NiP - the way to success.

Wonder how long ESC can be on a losing streak and people will still go "give them more time".

Wow, ESC are really that useless? No wonder they complained about WRTT crushing them. Bunch of whiners who expects to get into every big tournament without even installing the game. The tournament organizers around the globe need fucking man up and exclude the Poles from playing in tournaments until they actually accomplish something (online, for example). Getting sick of teams taking things for granted.

The hole team won that tournament. Perfect combo in that team. Saying Fifflaren is bad is a shame.

He also got fewest deaths in every match, So i guess he is playing a more passive role in NiP.

For the first, awp isn´t the regular weapon for him. So schooling to a new game, new weapon isn´t easy. 2008 was appointed to the best player at the CGS by the players. Tells more than online skills.

Kind of obvious since NiP has been playing CS:GO a lot more then ESC and the fact that ESC has never really performed that well online compared to their strength on LAN. Just give it some time :}

NiP players are just better than ESCs are. So why are you all talking that poles need more time, they will be better, and learn the game but NiP probably can not be defeated by them... And this game you aim more than play with team, as i could see while i was playing. So dont compare Get right, forest and xizt to pasha taz or kuben.. Its obvious NiP players re better
