MODDII to step down from fnatic?

Andreas "MODDII" Fridh has given a strong indication that he has quit fnatic by leaving the team's roster on ESEA's website.

The Swedish player left fnatic's ESEA roster earlier on Monday, on the same day as the team are supposed to play their first match in the Invite league, against Curse.

Fridh has been with fnatic since January, when he stepped into the shoes of Faruk "pita" Pita, and he helped the team to make an impressive run in the last 1.6 events which includes winning Copenhagen Games, DreamHack Summer and GameGune.

The decision comes as a big surprise as Fridh had given a great account of himself at DreamHack Winter, where fnatic crashed out in the group stage in what was the team's first CS:GO tournament.

MODDII's time in fnatic appears to have come to an abrupt end

Neither Fridh, nor fnatic have commented on this matter, but it seems that the Danish team have already made arrangements to complete their roster.

Morten "frozt" Frost, who played for Copenhagen Wolves at the SteelSeries finals earlier in the month as a stand-in, has been added to fnatic's ESEA roster, along with Magnus "JOKERN" Barthel, a former member of Tt Dragons' CS:Source squad which finished third at Copenhagen Games.

Last month, fnatic underwent their first roster change since switching to CS:GO as Dennis "Rytter" Rytter replaced Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson and became the team's ingame leader.

fnatic's roster on the ESEA website currently looks as follows:

Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Martin "trace" Heldt
Dennis "Rytter" Rytter
Morten "frozt" Frost
Magnus "JOKERN" Barthel

I have always hated fnatic only for this reason. They always sent of players who helped them a lot just to win a tournament or better said only for some money. Maybe they should follow Navi in this aspect, because even now in cs:Go they are still together in wins and loses,and they don't sent of a player no matter how bad he is playing. Peace xD

frozt was a good source player but nothing more. last time i saw him play at cph12 and none of the danes impressed me. whatever, it's a new game now and players have to adapt and i think fnatic will be really strong in the future.. 3 top 1.6ers and 2 source players seems to be the magic formula. :D

I don't think they need any lineup changes yet, kinda early to make this kind of roster change. Plus fnatic already looked weird with a Danish flag, going from 5 blue frags to 6 red ones seem very wrong >.< (although Danes wouldn't mind)

This is a total disaster. MODDI can't leave FNATIC. What will MODDII do within next months? He has gotten salary, experienced travelling. I can with 100% confirm that this is just rumours. well Considering that MODDI is only a year older than me. I've a hard time seeing him creating a family right now. Especially when he played this much. I'm concerned of the fact that MODDI leaves fnatic because he was such a good player. Infact, I'd say that if he could become the best player in CS:GO if he only had a better attitude towards the game.

Fyi, Magnus/ JOKERN now plays actively for Team SharkGaming. Besides the above, I don't get it. Moddi was so amazing at DH, let's hope it's because he got another offer and not just wants to quit.
