NiP, ESC top NorthCon groups

Ninjas in Pyjamas and ESC Gaming are both through to the second group stage of NorthCon 2012 after topping their respective groups in the opening phase.

It was the sort of performance that everyone had expected from NiP, who are looking for their sixth international CS:GO title, but only a few would have thought that ESC would acquit themselves so well after enduring so many frustrating results in the new game.

The Polish giants, who had finished 5th-8th at AMD Sapphire just two weeks ago, won all of their group matches in convincing fashion, easing past Anexis, logiX and CRG, conceding only an impressive 14 rounds in the process.

Will ESC finally make their mark in CS:GO?

As for NiP, the ESWC and DreamHack Winter champions defeated LowLandLions (16-9), MaxFloPlay (16-3) and CPLAY (16-3) to claim the top spot of Group A.

Both NiP and ESC Gaming have secured direct entry into the second group stage, while the teams who finish second and third in those two groups will have to play a relegation phase.

what exactly do you mean with "fake money team from scandinavia"? You do know that the individual skill in NiP is way higher than ESC's, in both 1.6 and GO. (Only talking about the 1.6ers in NiP)

If you don't see the progression of play, you need to wake up. Just a couple weeks ago, it would had been a 16-13 in all their matches if they were to even win. Its so obvious that they are now feeling "comfortable" in their wins. This is like turning cal-i overnight after playing in cal-m for a couple weeks. Not only that, they are challenging for the crown within the same time span. Predictions: they will win a tournament very soon.

Let's start with the fact that the same results will not reflect the play of the team. ESC has obtained excellent results, but not only. The game looks really impressive and makes us believe that in the end the guys started to play, as they should. Do you play weak teams, it's not important. Previously, there was no question of such results, even with such teams are now playing convincing results. I feel that this could be a watershed moment. Time to beat NiP. After all, who has to do it, if not gold five.
