Steelshock migrate to Rasta Gaming
Rasta Gaming have announced that they have secured the services of Steelshock's CS:GO squad.
The Portuguese team were created in November by putting together four very experienced 1.6 players, including ex-k1ck ace João "ehz" Monteiro, and one CS:S player.
Steelshock gave a good account of themselves at XLParty last month, finishing fourth in what was the team's first event in CS:GO.
However, their time in SteelShock has come to an abrupt end as the team have been picked up by UK-based organisation Rasta Gaming, who have in the past had a Portuguese CS:Source division.
Along with the move to the new organisation, the team have also bid farewell to Rúben "bEN" Ribeiro, the only player who hailed from CS:Source, replacing him with former Defs and k1ck 1.6 star Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira.
"It's with great honour that we embrace Rasta's colors today," team captain Ricardo "AIm" Almeida told Rasta Gaming's website. "We are fully convinced that our ambitions are going to be matched with their history and reputation.
"At the same time, it's a little bit sad that we had to leave one of ours behind, unfortunately bEN doesn't have the time nor opportunity to play with us anymore.
"We've decided to go with a well known, great friend of ours, rmn. We are sure that he will adapt to our game style very quickly."
Rasta Gaming's CS:GO division consists of the following players:
Ricardo "AIm" Almeida
João "ehz" Monteiro
Mário "n0rx" Pacheco
João "KillDream" Ferreira
Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira
