Changes in SK-Gaming
The lineup SK-Gaming used during 2007 had to change, and the time has come. SK-Gaming aimed for the tops everal times, but failed each time. The organization felt it was time to get a team, that in their eyes could bring home the big results.
SK-Gaming, the name is known all over the world. SK-Gaming had a killer lineup, for the 2007 season, at least on paper. But the results lacked several times. Worth mentioning would be the episode about ESWC 2007. fnatic and Begrip qualified for the ESWC finals in front of NiP and SK-Gaming. A few teams failed to show up at ESWC, and NiP got picked as attenders. SK-Gaming made a big thing out of them not attending the event. The one event they really should have qualified for?
Never the less, they did not attend. To rise for the failure, the team attended GameGune located in Bilbao, Spain. The team got in group E, with Convention and snakenight. They managed to lose the match versus Convention, but still advanced to the Brackets, due to their victory against snakenight.
In the brackets SK-Gaming had a really tough match against 69N-28E (now roccat). As many predicted in the bets, SK-Gaming once again lost. SK-Gaming faced the hard way through the tournament, as they went into the lower bracket. First match against mushkin, went to SK-Gaming with the result 16-6 on de_dust2. The next team to beat on their way for glory, was ZYKON, the German team, who played really well throughout the tournament. Unfortunatly for SK-Gaming ZYKON managed to beat them to it with the score 16-12 on de_inferno, and SK-Gaming saw their exit of the tournament sooner than expected.
To not just look at the dark side of this team, we also take a peak at the bright sides.
The team attended WSVG Loiusville along with 69N-28E, NiP, mouz and Convention. The team managed to work its way through all the way to the final, where they faced the Finnish team 69N-28E. SK-Gaming managed to win the first map, but let 69N-28E back into the match on the 2nd map, and had to be thankful with a second place at the event.
The team really shined at NGL-One Season 3 finals at Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Beating NoA and mouz along their way to the final versus their Swedish rivals, fnatic. The final went in favor of fnatic, but still we saw a SK-Gaming playing like never before.
During all these events the team played with the following lineup.
Christer "fisker" Eriksson
Emil "striker" Westerberg
Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed
Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Jimmy "allen" Allen
But face of the team changes as of today. The team will be saying goodbye to fisker and striker. fisker who joined SK-Gaming once again to after a longer break from CS. striker on the other hand, had a short period in SK-Gaming, he joined up to fill in the spot Snajdan left.
The two new faces, are well known to many. SK-Gaming this time pick up players from NiP. With no further introduction, the new SK-Gaming Counter-Strike lineup.
Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund
Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed
Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
Jimmy "allen" Allen
