g3x becomes mibr

Action going on in Brazil as we speak. The two best clans in Brazil have something in the oven. Curious? We will break it down for you.

Last week, the CGS drafts started in Europa and Latin America. Both g3x and mibr attended the draft, but one only could get picked. The Sinistro team, representing Rio de Janeiro, picked mibr, which means that the former Counter-Strike 1.6 stars such as cogu and nak, will be playing CS:Source for now.

Since mibr will no longer have a Counter-Strike 1.6 team, they choose to pick up the g3x team. Meaning they will play with the mibr tag from now on. The team will be attending World Cyber Games next week. g3x won the qualifier, but with the switch to mibr, the qualification spot follows the gamers. The team to represent mibr from now will be:

Brazil Alexandre "gAuLeS" Bochi
Brazil
Norberto "Lance" Lage
Brazil
Wellington "ton" Caruso
Brazil
Thiago "btt" dos Santos
Brazil
Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Brazil
Bruno "bit" Lima
Some might ask why we find bit in this lineup. Due to that fact that he's only 17 years of age, he cannot play in the CGS and thus remains in the 1.6 team.
mibr are in Group F at the World Cyber Games. The group consists of the following teams:

Other SimpleX (Macedonia)
Brazil mibr
United Kingdom Four Kings
Sweden fnatic
Korea eSTRO
Austria bioXar.at
The group might seem doable for mibr, despite from the fact they are in group with fnatic. But eSTRO could make it difficult for mibr. The two teams face deach other, at e-Stars in Seoul, where eSTRO came out on top. This sure will be an exciting group to follow.

The team will face changes again after the World Cyber Games, as the player Lima will join the team. Who will have to leave the team, still remains unknown.

I think he will be sad to hear that. But he will truly be miss in CS 1.6. His AWP were among the top AWP's - along side with hpx, Luq and dsn.

They're going to play CS:S wtf?!? And it will be very very difficult for the new mibr in this group, cause there are fnatic and 4kings. No chance mibr. :]

lol new mibr are G3X and G3X destroy mibr in WCG qualifier and mibr WAS better that 4K => G3X > old mibr > 4K :) eStro will be more difficult opponent than 4K trust me :)

Smart move by mibr grabbing g3x in order to keep Brazilian 1.6 scene under their control.

A lot of youngsters on this team. Again, as I said in the SK post, I do not have much confidence in 6-man lineups. fnx and bit are two very good individuals, only player I know besides them are gAuLeS. So how good are they? Well, lets have a look at WCG 2007, they could get unlucky and finish third, and not advancing to the brackets, but we will have to see about that one.
