Trophies itselves don't count for top 20, but Chengdu will likely be Elite event so it will boost him
IF it counts then it's hard to tell if someone will be above him, Senzu and Molodoy might be close...

For sure, If a player has Let's say 40 arena maps, and other one has 10, that's really huge boost. And hltv likes to slightly increase placing for players with biggest sample size

Donk has Top EVP from 4 different High tier Events, MVPs from both Bountys ( all top tier teams attended ) and his Ratings are higher at all possible filters by 0.05-0.10

I mean it counts but indirectly - as you said winning event makes it easier to earn EVPs, MVPs and higher stats
But Trophies itself doesn't matter. If you have two players with almost identical stats...

Realistically after Bounty donk came damgerously close, he needed like two MVPs to be clearly ahead but unfortunatley Spirit fumbled hard
