To whom are concerned and want to know some more about me.
I am 24 years old and have been in eSports since the beginning. It's a funny story on how I go into eSports as it was my mother who introduced me (lol). If anyone can remember from the beta days of CS she was in a team called Big-AK then she started her own clan off [-LaB-]; Lifes a Bitch. I started with the nick name BLUBBERBOY as I was a chubby kid and how kind hearted and loving my mother is she gave me that nick name, not short of self confidence.... I started off with Duke Nukem then went into online multiplayer as Quake arrived. I then went on to play Counter-Strike and have loved every minute of playing it, although there has been times where I have smashed my keyboard, mouse, monitor... Hell I even through my PC out my bedroom window from the 3rd story... So yeah there we have a little background of how I managed to get into eSports.
Over the years I have not played in a professional team but I have been in the management side, I believe I used to have the ability when I was younger to be a very good player but growing up in a not so wealthy environment I had the worst PC going and my internet was terrible, so instead of trying to be a great player I decided to go into management and amongst that I managed teams such as; lastchance, Epandor, syNergy, cZar and many more but my pride and honour will always be with inyourmind (IYM). I started this team off in 2007 and went to InfinityGaming 4 LAN at Omega Sektor, Birmingham. This was only just a temporary team but we managed to place #4th in the UK rankings just before the event. Since then IYM have had many lineup changes but I can remember every single member and I can honestly say I have enjoyed the pleasure of managing them throughout. IYM have done me proud over the years breaking through into Europe and getting decent results in tournaments and practise matches which I used to spectate daily.
Aside from managing and playing CS I also was involved in setting up, managing and hosting LAN events in the UK. My first time handling a LAN event was InfinityGaming #1 in Newcastle, my home town where I helped out then got asked to help out at InfinityGaming #2. Since then I have been more fascinated in the LAN event industry and have tried to make my mark. FireCore is my company which I set up in 2009 and since then have hosted several events across England but I hope to expand to Europe in 2013.
Thanks for reading, I will continue to update when I have time.
