144hz monitors
BenQ got the best marketing with his monitors, but i've ordered them both and played with both for 1 week. And i prefer the Asus, almost some price and i prefer the colors, saturation and it's design....

if you are jumping with mousewheelup/down dont take a Kana.. had one, and it's a nice mouse but that scroll wheel ones in a while just triggers :(
Lag when scoping
Maybe it has something to do with your videosettings ingame or nvidia/ati settings in OS. Try to adjust or lower them.. it looks like hardware related bug... (or try to update your gpu driver)

Error after every single update
Do you have administrator permissions on your account, where steam is installed? Otherwise what kinda pc do you have, is it old? It can be that your harddisk is dieing :/

What reso are you playing? I got i5 2500k HD6870 8gb ssd.. and got 300fps no drops.
I'm playing on 1024 4:3 widescreen tho. Maybe try lower reso and did you set your graphcards settings right? vsync ...
