HLTV: Top 20 2025 Prediction Competition Rules

Introduction

1. These Contest Rules govern the participation in a free-of-charge HLTV: Top 20 Players (the “Contest” hosted by the owner of https://www.hltv.org (the “Website”), Better Collective A/S, of Sankt Annæ Plads 28, 1250 Copenhagen K, Denmark (the “Organiser”).
2. The Prizes for this Contest will be distributed to the Winners in collaboration with the sponsor of this Contest, 1xBet. This sponsorship is facilitated by 1XCorp N.V., the proprietors of 1xBet brand, headquartered at Chuchubiweg 17, Curaçao (the “Prize Sponsor”).
3. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, the participants shall be referred to as Participants, You, Your.

Eligibility

1. In order to be eligible to compete, Participants must register for a personal account on the Website using the following link: https://www.hltv.org/signup.
2. A Participant will not be allowed to participate if they are banned from the Website during the Contest for any reason.
3. Participants must be over 16 years old or older or have the consent of their legal guardian at the time of entry to be eligible to participate. When it comes to Participants who are not 16 years old or older, the Organiser reserves the right to request the proof of the consent of the Participant’s legal guardian, at its sole discretion and at any stage of the Contest.
4. The Contest is open worldwide. Participants should respect and comply with the applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, guidelines and industry codes of practice of their country of residence when taking part in this Contest.
5. Employees, freelancers, brand ambassadors, and influencers hired by the Organiser, directly or through intermediary companies, are not allowed to participate in the Contest.

Agreement to Terms

1. By participating in this Contest, You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility criteria outlined above.
2. By participating in this Contest, You agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Contest Rules and You consent to the Privacy Policy.
3. Participants are required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations during their involvement in the Contest.
4. Any queries or issues that are not explicitly addressed in these Contest Rules will be handled at the Organiser's discretion.
5. By engaging in the Contest, You acknowledge and accept the decisions of the Organiser as final and binding concerning all matters related to the Contest.
6. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or update the Contest Rules at its sole discretion and will notify Participants of any significant changes by posting these changes on the Website.

Start and Closing Date

1. Participation in the Contest is open from December 16, 2025 and it will continue until December 24, 2025 at 12:00 CET.
2. Participants may submit entries between the start and closing dates specified above. Any entries received after the closing date will not be taken into consideration.

How to participate

1. Participation in the Contest is completely free of charge for all Participants.
2. Every year, the Organiser chooses the top CS2 players for the previous year. In order to participate, You have to predict which players will be ranked among the top 20 CS2 players in 2025 using the interactive widget https://www.hltv.org/top20/predictions placed on the Website.
3. You are allowed to update your predictions at any point during the Contest, provided that the updates are made no later than December 24, 2025 at 12:00 CET.
4. You can participate in the Contest only once and from one account only.

Winner Selection

1. Participants can earn up to one hundred (100) points if all predictions for the top 20 CS2 players are correct. Points will be allocated as follows: five (5) points will be awarded for each correct prediction in the top 20 CS2 players. Participants will earn three (3) points if their prediction is within two positions of the correct ranking.
2. Starting December 24, 2025, the Organiser will unveil one position from the top 20 CS2 players list each day. This will continue through to January 10, 2026, when the Organiser will reveal the top three positions simultaneously. The exact schedule of announcements will be published on the Website.
3. Participants will be ranked according to the following rules:
   • The Participant with the highest number of points will be ranked first, while second and third places will be awarded to participants with the next highest number of points (together, the “Winners”).
   • In the event of a tie among potential Winners, the final ranking will be determined by a random drawing among those Participants with identical results.
4. Information regarding the usernames or nicknames of the Winners, along with the Prizes awarded, will be published and made publicly available on the Website and the accompanying social media accounts on January 11, 2026.
5. The Website’s admin will contact each Winner via e-mail that Winner used to create the Website account in order to arrange the delivery of the Prize, in a maximum of fourteen (14) days after the Winners are announced.
6. Relevant information needed for the delivery of the Prizes will be requested from the Winners, such as Steam trade link or other credentials needed for the purpose of arranging the transfer of the Prizes. For more information on what data will be requested please read the Personal Data section below.
7. The Winners must provide requested credentials within a maximum of thirty (30) days after receipt of the Organiser’s e-mail. In case the Winner misses the deadline, the Prize will be allocated to the randomly drawn qualified Participant.
8. The Organiser and the Prize Sponsor will hand over the Prizes through the Steam system, in a maximum of twenty (20) days after settling and verifying the Winners.

Prizes

1. The 3 highest ranked Participants (the “Winners”) will receive the following prizes in the below-stated order:

2. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and no alternative is offered.
3. The Winner will be responsible for paying taxes to the tax authority if the Prizes are taxable in the region they reside in.

Personal Data

1. Protection of Your personal privacy when you participate in this Contest is very important, therefore, the Organiser process Your personal data with the greatest caution and in accordance with all relevant laws.
2. For the purpose of your successful participation in the Contest, the Organiser has to process the following personal data:
   • Your age – this data is needed to verify compliance with the legal requirements regarding the minimum age for participation in the Contest (refer to the section 'Eligibility', subsection 3 of these Contest Rules).
   • Your email address and HLTV username – processing this data is necessary to distinguish You from other participants and to facilitate Prize delivery. Additionally, Your username may be published if You win the Contest (see the section 'Winner Selection', subsection 4 of these Contest Rules).
3. Please be aware that the Organiser may be obligated to announce the Winners of the Contest pursuant to transparency requirements mandated by relevant national legislation. In such cases, the list of Winners' usernames will be published on the Website and associated social media accounts.
4. The legal basis for processing Your personal data is either Your consent, provided prior to Your participation in the Contest, or the Organiser’s obligation to comply with mandatory legal requirements.
5. The Organiser will retain Your data until the Contest is concluded. Upon conclusion of the Contest and the delivery of Prizes, all personal data collected for the successful execution of the Contest will be deleted. However, the Organiser will retain posts containing information about Contest Winners to ensure the transparent conduct of the Contest and may retain some of Your personal data if necessary to comply with national laws.
6. You are entitled to exercise all data protection rights granted by the EU Law, and particularly by the GDPR. For further information about Your rights, how to exercise them, and the Organiser’s data protection practices, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

Violation of Rules

1. Any breach of these Contest Rules is strictly prohibited and will result in sanctions. Potential penalties include disqualification from the Contest, conduct warnings, temporary bans from participation, permanent expulsion from accessing the Contest, and in certain cases, your HLTV account suspension or a permanent ban.
2. Breaches of the Rules may encompass, but are not limited to participating in the Contest with multiple accounts. Each prize-winning account undergoes rigorous checks to ensure it has not been used for multi-accounting abuse. Should such abuse be detected by the Organiser, the offending party will not be eligible to receive the Prize.
3. If a Participant violates these Contest Rules, sanctions will be administered at the Organiser's sole discretion. The severity of the punishment will correspond to the gravity of the offense and whether the Participant is a repeat offender. Cases will be evaluated individually. The decisions made by the Organiser are final and must be respected.
4. In the event a Participant is banned from the Website for any reason, they will become ineligible to participate in the Contest.

Limitation of Liability

1. The Organiser shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in the Contest. Participants agree that the Organiser, its partners, and employees shall not be responsible for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use of any Prize awarded in the Contest. By participating, Participants release the Organiser from any liability related to the Contest. The Organiser's total liability, if any, shall not exceed the value of the Prize awarded to the Participant.

Governing Law

1. This Contest and any disputes arising from or related to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark. Participants agree that any legal action or proceeding concerning the Contest shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Denmark.
